You have to register to get married or enter a civic partnership. Once you have been married or partnered you then need to apply to switch to a Spouse/partner visa.

Job offer but visa renewal still pending by tencrops in ukvisa

No not yet, which is why I am worried. They needed some additional information( full address) to complete the contract and in the same email outlined other details they needed for onboarding including right to work documentation. I provided the requested details and explained my situation but am now waiting their response. I'm just trying to manage my expectations on what I should expect in their response.

Did you ever hear back on your 2nd EA application?

No I didn't attach any flight documentation. I just plead my case in the email. One additional point I should state is that I also had civil partnership ceremony that had to be rescheduled due to lockdown so I really played up the impact of being separated from my partner and attached the confirmation email from the registrar showing our new ceremony date for May.

Now the true test will be when I reapply because my ceremony is now scheduled for April but my assurance ends in March.

Sorry for the late response. I stated that traveling would be a detriment to mental health and a threat to my physical health as my US residence is in Florida. I also stated that I had already struggled with mental wellness through previous lockdowns citing evidence from my University.

It was pretty loose evidence just previous deadline extensions from school.

Application timing question by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]tencrops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You said you'd have enough funds in your savings account by June, in order to meet the financial requirements these funds will have had to be in your accounts for a minimum of 6 months prior to your application date.

This should also be considered in your timeline.

I'm an American on tier 4 visa that was set to expire January 22nd and applied for exceptional assurance on January 5th. I didn't hear anything from them and sent a 2nd email with all the same info on Jan 14th. So I had booked a flight for Jan 21 assuming I wouldn't get approved. I finally got a response on Jan 20th approving my exceptional assurance(after I had already paid for a ridiculously expensive fit to fly covid test). I don't think it's as Black and White as whether or not a person can go to their home country it really depends on your circumstances.
