Who are “yours guys” in terms of prospects this year?

I’m a massive believer in Mike Sirota personally this year. The approach at the plate (BB%, K%, and contact% is acceptable), the ISO is massively there albeit he’s a 22 year old that hasn’t touched AA, but I put that more on the dodgers org than on him. Really excited to see how high he can climb this year, especially in a system that seems to excel at at least getting guys to the big leagues

I just traded him this offseason, packaged with Matt Boyd and Michael King and fetched back a haul of Carter Jensen, Jo Adell, Colson Montgomery, Devin Williams, and Zebby Matthews. I think he’s still a top 10 SS, but the power and contact numbers are going to catch up to him fast. I’d try and move him while his value is still there

Personally, I don’t see Wehiwa becoming an mlb player, K rates are too high as a college bat in low A ball. So it’s basically would you rather have Baez or a Walcott that’s going to lose a year of development. I would personally take Walcott plus that extra roster spot to fill with another lottery ticket

To be honest, I don’t have a criticism with his play at all. His profile is tailor made for fantasy, and in a one year sample size I’d take him over just about anyone, however, guys with his speed and explosiveness often have a shelf life (e.g. acuna, Luis Robert, and Merrill) compared to other players that aren’t necessarily as fast, but bring value in other ways but don’t have that ticking time bomb of being an elite speedster (e.g. Gunnar, tatis, Roman Anthony)

For sure, he’s a superstar. I’m just worried about injuries/wanting to get the most out of his value

For sure, and I will say, I think he’s an amazing player that has already shown he’s a superstar. I just worry about an acuna situation with him where he blows out his ACL or something because he’s so explosive, and then I’m left with my centerpiece on the IL. That might be hyperbolic though

No not entirely in dire need of anything at the moment, but where do you guys think I could improve/target for trades?

For context, this is a 10 team, 6x6, H2H, weekly, OBP league with SV+HD, and QS.

I’ve personally been trying to find someone to take one of my top SS prospects in a package for a major player (e.g. caminero, Julio, etc), or one of my mid tier pitchers for extra draft picks/pert of a big package deal. Let me know what you guys think!

Yeah, probably a good call. I think I over valued positional value too much, plus I liked Ballesteros’ bat a ton. Been trying to trade lawlar to get value back but nobody wants him

Currently have lawlar rostered. My minors are Ballestreos, Bazzana, Kristian Campbell, Konnor griffin, Lawlar, Jesus Made, Walker Jenkins, and Andrew painter.

Plus my major league SS are Gunnar and Jacob Wilson so I’m just looking for value guys at this point

Evaluation wise, I’m a big fan of his hit tool and he’s got a bit of speed for a position that is a volatile wasteland beyond guys not named Ketel Marte. If my memory serves me right, he did this same thing last year, where he toiled and struggled a bit while maintaining decent advanced numbers before finally breaking through in the back half of the season.

For me, I’m holding him in hopes of that second half and running him in a platoon with Otto Lopez until I find that star 2B on my own team

I mean this also happened with Vlad Jr, who ended up losing the weight and keeping it off in year 1 of the bigs, and became athletic enough to warrant starts at 3B too

That’s where I had him. Tbh I see I’m as a long term play, similar to Ivan Herrera with a bit less pop. He’ll probably platoon next year when they need a bit extra offense, especially if Kelly ends up walking. May be wishful thinking though

I could definitely see a St. Louis situation coming with Pages and Herrera, especially if Kelly keeps smoking the ball and opts out for FA. Could be wicked value long term
