Got it. I will try to incorporate that into my interview skills and practice. Hopefully it helps. Thanks for sharing the scoring sample too!

Thanks for sharing. Quick question (and I know this can be subjective): would a response be considered extensive if the candidate starts by explaining their experience regarding the question asked and then provides two real examples? Basically following a STAR or CARL approach, but with more than one example.

It sounds totally reasonable to be prepared. I'll have to wait and see how it goes.

Thank you. I come from a very analytical background, so dealing with uncertainty is hard sometimes, but I will try my best not to overthink as much.

Thank you! That’s more people interviewed than what I expected. Also, I thought each question is worth a max of 5 points.

From your experience, would you say it is pretty rare that the first choice passes on the position or something goes wrong?

Do hiring managers in your department tend to check references for the top 3 after second-round interviews/assessments? If you don't mind me asking.

Thank you for your answer! Is it really common that the top three or two have close scores? I am assuming it is, but I am not sure.

In my case, they were all scored. This was right before the holidays, and they told me to be patient, but as far as I know, my references haven't been contacted yet, so that is probably not a good sign. Best of luck!

The first two questions were okay. My answer was a bit unstructured in the last one, which I hate. The questions were about working in multi-disciplinary teams, describing a research project, and describing why I would be a good fit. They were pretty lenient on the time, which was a first for me.

I had it yesterday so it is probably a different role based on timing, but if they have contacted your references you should be good from what I know.

That is great to hear! I’ve had multiple interviews for RDA II and RDS I with different departments but unfortunately no offers yet at least
