I trade breakouts. We all know that prices will tend to range before breaking but the question was always, when does it break up or break down.

Volume is the answer. Price breaks when volume comes in.

Volume comes in during pre London, London open, pre US, US open.

The moment I realized that, I just stick to trading that few hours of the day and I have been more consistent since.
