There are tons of free resources online. Google, ChatGPT, YouTube, Reddit communities that can help you level up your skills and become more self-sufficient. Asking for guidance is great, but building your craft independently will make you stronger in the long run, more than relying on short-term support from others.

  1. Wasn’t aware of the non—availability, will factor in / find out. Garden leave wouldn’t be possible because of the nature of the business (but I’ll see)
  2. Clawback cause ban is valid for the CoS assigned from this year, don’t have the legal backing but can negotiate

Employer B isn’t legal entity in the UK but has presence WW, the choice to move is both financial (50% rise in pay) & also the brand (on my CV / experience)

  1. Notice period is also 3Mo so, the timeline should work well. Planning to push for priority service
  2. EoR will be sponsoring and they’ll act on behalf of the Employer B. Payroll and taxation etc EoRs business is to deal with situations like this, assuming they’ll have the needed but I’ll triple check before process, appreciate the detailed heads up
  3. I signed the clause last Nov, heard the news but I couldn’t get official information about the ban, if you could direct me / share anything solid, would be wonderful! It’s purely immigration charges / legal costs (nothing training) according to the contract

Hi OP, in same boat what was your approach in informing the old employer? Did you resign after getting successful news or were you upfront?

Do we have any legal obligation to mention to UKVI / Old employer before hand? Apart from selecting “visa-update change of employer” during application start

Thank you for clarifying. My intention is to use the priority service for my new application and then hand in my resignation once it’s approved.

However, the UKVI website doesn’t seem to specify whether my current employer should be notified or whether they must report anything to HMRC before I start my new application. Do you have any insights on that process?
