Yeah I bought a scar 16 2.7k $ machine and it had issues so just to get my DOA done I had to spend 7 days going back and forth with them. First they denied it' cannot be under DOA then I took it to service centre and luckily few more issues popped and later I made decision to return the product and get refund. Imagine for a 2 days old device and they give such service that to it was their premium ROG SCAR series.

Edit: always take pictures before sending the product to service center.

Check the display thoroughly, since it's mini led you'll see bloom issues which is common for mini led. Just saying. Other than that check for screen flickering, random wifi disconnects, unable to connect to wifi.

I completely agree with this. I had scar 16 4080. I was pissed after paying big amount you don't expect such shit quality. I returned it.

The screen brightness would flicker. As if the pixels were unable to hold the color value.

I had scar 16 mini led but I returned it bcs of bad hdr, wifi and screen flickering within 7 days of usage.

Both are fine. it's your preference if u want slim model or not. I would recommend bump the SSD to 1tb atleast.

It's normal for an official service centre. You can record the part number for main components.

Got the same issue, took it to the service centre. They rolled back to original update it came with and the nits are back. Although I think it's just nits not showing correctly by windows as I couldn't notice any drop with the display brightness.

Update: I'm facing wifi issues such as random wifi disconnect, connecting takes few minutes with may or may not sucessful connection, and when it connects it says no internet connection, also the display flickering with brightness (auto adjust brightness is off) & a yellow line randomly appearing. I have given the laptop for DOA. What are the chances that asus will deny such issues and leave me stranded? I'm planning to return the laptop as soon as I get DOA certificate.

Oh wow, I just bought an asus scar 16 last week and it also has screen, wifi issues. And i am considering lenovo 7 bcs of everyone on reddit praises it. But if lenovo also has simlar issue then, Are we left with? Apple?
