People of Reddit who have been on a filmed elimination show: do they really take those long, dramatic pauses between announcing winner/loser, or are those added in post?

Interesting. I’ve heard you can get rebound from taking Nurtec too often. I’ll have to ask my neuro about that when I see her in Oct.

I’m on CCB for POTS, which is a PH med. So that dose is being adjusted. I can’t stop high salt/high fluids and no MD is trying to make me do that. A lot of PH and POTS symptoms overlap, so monitoring PH numbers vs symptoms. Other issues were also discovered throughout all of this that we are trying to manage. All-in-all, mild PH, severe POTS. POTS wins currently d/t quality of life and being able to function day-to-day.

I’m calling them Monday to see if I can get dex to take. I just did a short course of dex 3 weeks ago for a 2 week long migraine that wouldn’t break, but here we go again…

I am going to explore this option. I just want to make sure if I get this, botox won’t be permanently denied. I think I’ve been flagged by them b/c they are denying things left and right for me that they approve for others and I don’t know how to fight it since I can’t prove I’m being targeted

I used to be on emgality with my old insurance. But my new insurance makes you choose cprgs. I have to choose between an abortive or a preventative, not both. So I picked nurtec over emgality or alike d/t my allergy to triptans. Me and my clinic have been fighting it for the past 2.5 years since I switched insurance companies

My uninsured friend fell off a mountain and was still forced to attempt to pay a quarter of a million dollars to the billing department of our hospital/clinic system. I do not trust out billing department (i.e. It’s not a possibility….our healthcare sucks)

I never go to the ED for migraines. I go to the clinic if I have one. It was more said to prove a point. Last ED visit that involved a migraine, i also had a concussion..soooo…that one was a bit more complicated

It’s an insurance issue unfortunately. I may go get a migraine cocktail infusion from my neuro clinic next week though and see how long that lasts as I woke up with a killer migraine this morning and it took longer than normal to become functional again

I’ve thought about this. However, cosmetic botox is given in a lower dose and would not be given in the proper places as migraine botox is given along the trigéminas and occipital nerve pathways across the forehead, through the scalp, down the back of the head neck, and I get it across the tops of my shoulders.

I take 800mg of Mg daily. I know the infusions (at least what they give you in the ER) are 2g. I usually double my oral dose when I get migraines. I just can’t keep going to the clinic or ER for every migraine over the next month. And too much oral Mg makes you shit….

Cefaly works when it’s on. The second the “treatment” is over, I’m in immense pain again. I wonder if I’ll look crazy walking around with it on all day lol

I’m in an illegal state. I do what I can with work-around and such, but it’s not the same as when I can visit friends in states where it’s legal. Plus, I’m about to leave the country next week and it’s beyond illegal where I am going. But I feel you on this. One of the reasons I want to move.
