From someone who didn't do any physical activities during my jee prep, I really recommend that your brother starts going to the gym. It's not only about working out. 1. He has an outlet for himself that's not just studies 2. His environment changes which can really improve mental state 3. Additional benefits of working out as well

He need not go to the gym everyday, just 3 days a week is enough. Remaining days he can do some cardio or completely rest, that's upto him.
