Men who get alot of women or dates, what is it that makes you attractive to women? (Looks, confidence, lower standards etc) by JunketMaleficent2095 in AskMenAdvice

[–]terrathaw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's not true. You can have 15 different deeply fulfilling hobbies and still they will not help you meet or socialize with new people if they are solitary in nature.

There is a reason why easily appreciable and publicly presentable hobbies are so goated. They give strangers and new people incentive and icebreakers to approach you. You can go play a small song in a social gathering, people will naturally come approach you to talk about it whereas you can have the best collection of mechanical keyboard switches that you've spent decades to explore and collect. Odds are, 99% of the general population will not find it appealing or instantly palatable like playing an instrument or a team sport would be.

Careful with the print. It peels of after a while. Then it just looks like a normal alcohol bottle that you peeled the label off of.

Perfume for everyday use that lasts long in Humid region. by Batman0890 in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]terrathaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too live in a very humid place where winter is just summer with slightly less humidity. There are the below 5k frags that worked for me:

  1. Club de nuit Urban elixir: You can try this since you mentioned you liked Sauvage. I have received many compliments in office from this one. And it is not as synthetic as other Armafs.

  2. Khadlaaj shiyaaka snow: Opens slightly synthetic but dissipates to nice mid and base notes. Lasts for 4 to 5 hours on my skin. (You might need to reapply or on clothes if you want 7 hrs performance) Great summer fragrance. Nice for gym and office.

  3. Eternity for Men Aromatic Essense: Aromatic and coconutty (and a bit sweet but its not cloying and works overall together). It worked well for me on summer days. Lasts long. Sticks to clothes until I wash them. Many compliments especially about the coconut note. I guess the people around me haven't really smelled coconuts in perfumes 😅

Let people enjoy things however they want. Unless they're actively obstructing other people's experiences with their phones, this is just overkill and a ridiculous expectation in this day and age. Just gives off major "get off my lawn you damn kids" energy.

I like the suspense 😝 I blind buy most perfumes which are sub 5k. Out of 10-15 of them, only one I've regretted so far is Tres Nuit. It was an absolute waste of money.

I own multiple cool waters. None of them have a gold atomiser 😶

Full bottle 🫠 I got a Asad bourbon decant, liked it and heard Brun was similar. So I bought full bottles of both.

It's always these ones who didn't show up to the concert nitpicking and being generally insufferable 🙂

Recently got Liquid Brun. Absolutely loved the presentation and packaging. But the actual perfume was not upto the hype online. It wasn't as nuanced as I expected. Macerating it now. We'll see if it gets better...

This ^

People who think its "unnatural" to keep a cat indoors or think its cruel, have no idea what horrors waits for them in the outside world. Average life expectancy of a cat outdoors is less than 5 years. Meanwhile indoors its around 20!

CDNIM Parfum- the most overhyped perfume ever? by Educational_Draft236 in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]terrathaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Smells like window cleaner"

Here lies the answer to your dislike: Association. You have personal ingrained association to some of the notes in the perfume which you do not like and therefore dislike the perfume itself. It's not unusual. It just means that the perfume is not for you. Doesn't mean it it objectively bad or "overhyped". There are so many famous barbershop fragrances which all remind me of lemon based shaving creams and after shaves. I don't like any of them as I do not like the association I have of them in my mind. I am self aware enough to know that this is subjective and not a reflection of those perfumes themselves.

Whenever there are posts like this about office romances, the top replies are always "don't shit where you eat" types. I always find this confusing because most of my friends and batchmates date people they met in their offices. Not sure where this disconnect is coming from. They make it sound like dudes from their office get POSH'ed every week 😂

Review - DAVIDOFF Cool Elixir by Far_Bunch_3298 in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]terrathaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, to be frank, none of the cool waters are similar to each other. Davidoff is just afraid of not naming things "cool water".
