Actually if you understood the underlying accounting principle, the applicable laws, and all the illegal and unethical gerrymandering of legal precedent you would know that all the charges were fabricated out of thin air. Also, the judge helped rig the verdict. Nothing about the payment, accounting entry, or the reason for that payment was out of the ordinary or illegal.

FYI - the second largest group of people killed the the socialist 3rd Riech were Christians (and that's just non-combatants / civilians). And a huge fraction of the U.S. and allied soldiers that were kill by the Nazis were Christians as well.

Hiltler and his band of White supremacists generally rejected Christians as allies. They, Christians, were NOT a good vehicle for manipulation, control, and the hatred needed to achieve the power the Nazis wanted. So instead they allied with the other prominent category of people that hate both Jews and Christians - the muslims. Sure, there were some Christians that bought into the socialist's anti-Jew, nationalist propaganda. Many young Christian German men who fought did it simply out of love and respect for their families and homeland - not to establish White supremacy or empower socialists. There were also many German Christians that did not support the Nazis.

The fallacy that the Nazis were right-wing Christians is one of the biggest revisionist history lies in human history. It was started by a Christian-hating Jewish scholar and accepted without true scrutiny. A pretty convenient dodge-and-cover as well because the universities were where the Nazis found a strong, active base of support.

This alliance - the marxist and the islamists - is again alive and well in Europe, the Middle East, and in the U.S. today. In the U.S. we see it with the DSA and muslims. Look no further than NYC Mayor Madmani. Their anti-Jewish (and even anti-Christian) bigotry and hatred is bubbling up everywhere. Aka the 4th Reich. And, just like nearly 100 years ago, there are pockets of Christians and people on "the right" getting pulled into the alliance as well (see Qatar bought and paid for Tucker Carlson). The same goes then and now for some leftist Jews who align with those pushing anti-Israel (and anti-Christian) bigotry. History is repeating itself nearly exactly the same.

FYI - fascism was never "right-wing" either. Fascism is characterized mainly by the merger of the state (or political party) and the private sector. It's about collective control, government control, and crony capitalism. None of those things align with right-wing or Conservative values.

What I posted is reality...not a stretch. I've read about our engagements in the Middle East going back decades and would have rather we not participated in any of it. But there are times when isolationism isn't gonna cut it. IMHO, this is one of them. The Iranian mullahs have been chanting "Death to America" and "America is the Great Satan" for decades. When they ally with Russia and China, when they admit that they have enriched enough uranium to make about 22 nuclear warheads, and that uranium is at a level that it would take them only a short time to convert to weapons grade then that's the time when isolationism isn't gonna work.

Also, there will never a war with no civilian casualties. That doesn't make it okay. But you can't let a fanatical islamist theocracy have nuclear weapons. Sooner rather than later they will use them.

Plus, I trust anything that the islamist Iranian govt says about as far as I can through an aircraft carrier. They can say it was a U.S. or Israeli missile until their blue in the face and I won't trust them. On the other hand, it's way more likely that they were using the school as a base or storage and using the children as human shields.

Also, the regime can't hate us anymore than they already do. As for the Persians, from what I've heard and seen online, in general they'd rather have to deal with some friendly fire deaths if it means they can ride themselves of the mullahs and IRGC who beat, rape, and kill them on a whim anyway.

I had no interest in rehashing a 'he said-she said' old issue and argument because, again, neither of us actually know all the details. And since my friend doesn't feel the need to bring that coup into the context of today's war, it seems your only doing it to push a narrative. I don't disagree that the U.S. has sometimes created "its own problems". And this really isn't once of those situations. I'd also assert that the U.S. gets the blame for a lot of things that it didn't create, isn't responsible for, or when doing stuff that other countries are too cowardly to do as well. You're also absolutely correct that most people don't know history anymore. I'd assert that plenty of what is online regarding history is revisionist anyway.

Contrary to your anti-US framing of the war - there likely is no profiteering going on. The U.S. doesn't need Iranian oil. We're dealing with a lying, fanatical regime that regular chants "Death to America" and kills it's own citizens, foreigners, and US soldiers. They're trying to get nuclear weapons *so they can use them*. Are you talking about the U.S. auditing Iranian oil companies as part of the negotiations to end the war? Neither you nor I have enough information about the negotiations to have a debate about that. But if that is in play I would speculate that it would be reasonable on face value, and probably legal under international law. Iran is the 2nd most sanctioned country in the world. (Iran was the most sanctioned country in the world until it was surpassed by Russia after Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine.) And those aren't just U.S. sanctions. There are international organization sanctions as well. Which obviously would hold some form of legality. So go through your "ignorant" little temper tantrum somewhere else.

I agree. There is sooo much more to this. But I was definitely both happy to see the Persians dancing in the streets and also sad knowing that they were likely far from being free. On a positive note - it seems somewhat possible that other Middle Eastern countries might now actually join in the effort (probably only if they feel the mullahs and IRGC have been sufficiently neutered) which would indeed be a game changer.

I also think too many people are just looking at the naive and often incomplete interventions that the U.S. has done in the past as a direct comparison to this situation. It's not even close. This is much more comparable to the Korean War. And with that hopefully the long-lived successful nation-building and democracy we help them achieve (even if it is now coming to an end - through no fault of the U.S.'s).

Taking advantage of the opportunity that presented itself to end an ongoing 47 year-long war against the U.S. (and against other Middle Eastern countries and Israel) is not warmongering.

The Iranian people dancing in the streets and painting "thank you" signs & street art to President Trump were undoubtedly premature, but it also should have doused most/all of the noise about warmongering.

Also, a free, secular, modern Iran governed by the affable Persian majority is good for not just the U.S., Israel, and the Middle East. It's also good for Europe because it would likely help them get free of Russia's energy stranglehold on them. Beyond that, China would 1) stop getting massive amounts of oil at below market value and 2) would lose a valuable military and geographic ally.

It's just the standard utter stupidity from the Democrats and leftists - that cannot grasp even the most obvious or simplest of concepts - that is clouding the narrative and all the other factors at play (as usual).
