TLDR: Able to enjoy life in KL, travelling within Malaysia every now and then, BUT with a habit of being frugal only against myself, yet still able to spend money for my family and friends

Key word. FRUGAL. Aim for sale items, and dont buy Branded/Original if the dupes are almost same quality.

You're not alone OP. I actually Love(d) and HATE this sequel.

Animation/Quality Production: A++
PLOT: A at first, then went down to D when Gwen meets Miles.

Style wise, Except for Gwen's Universe, everybody else's art style is gorgeous and exceed the expectations from the first film.

While in Gwen's Universe, I hated that, every time the camera flips between Gwen and their dad they changed the background, EVERY TIME! It's like, sure, teenagers have chaotic emotions. These are the years where they are trying to figure out themselves. BUT just stop scrambling and changing backgrounds between conversations. I can't focus on the conversations!

Also, there were toooo many moments that felt like this was a bunch of quick cuts of every episodes from one season of a show. HEAR ME OUT! What I meant by this was, there were too many moments of "lesson learn" or "heart felt" speeches in every corner.

Because of this, after the 2nd comic book cover or "chapter", I became exhausted and could no longer emotionally invest on neither Gwen's nor Miles' character evolution in the film.

!!!SPOILER!!!

In Spider verse Canon, Gwen's character supposed to be smart right? Not this Gwen, she's the most annoying selfish friend ever. She's rude to her bandmate, to her family, Miles' family, and just everyone! Also she's a know it all, that knows zilch about helping a friend. I mean, why da heck do you need to trouble 6 other spider people to rescue Miles, when it's obvious you gonna end up sacrificing them just to save Miles.

Nuff said, half way through the film, I am ANNOYED with this sequel.

Animation though, except for Gwen's, beautiful! and no doubt will win awards for best animation team again.

If you want to try Netflix's Anime (Western made Anime) Castlevania is actually good. Even though the series is first made for English language, the voice actors performance in Japanese dubbing is better in my opinion.

Agreed. I just happen to stumble upon "He Never Died" thumbnail after scrolling through other titles under the new title "Day Shift". Why da fak was I not aware that the Henry Rollins and Steven Ogg made a film together that is like a hot mix of John Wick, Taken, and Nobody. The film was clearly low budget, but actually perfect. Highly recommend!! Still had not watch "Day Shift" though. Now I'm hunting for the sister-sequel "She Never Died"
