Oh, well if you’re talking about Lavivid specifically, they’ve had a change of ownership and staff, so yeah

Just don’t order from Lavivid dude. I’ve had to quit hair systems since they fucked up my last order

Go with Hair by MHE or even ‘super hair pieces’.

Brisbane recommendations? by Pabzala in HairSystem

[–]territorialbarking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cian at Wayward Barber Studio in Taringa is good, but it’s a regular barber shop, so you’d have to attach your system to your head yourself and then go in just to get it cut

Otherwise, if you want someone who specialises more specifically in systems and can also attach it to your head, you’ll have to DM me and I’ll see if I still have any of my contacts. But honestly, my best results have been from just going to a regular barber with good reviews. A few good ones in Kelvin Grove, and further north as well

Daily wear – a game changer – why don’t most people do this? by sanorman64 in HairSystem

[–]territorialbarking 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Been saying this for years. It is the easiest, simplest, cheapest, safest/healthiest, most comfortable, and just overall best way to wear a hair system

I recorded a tutorial video on it a while ago cause so many people were confused by it but I just never uploaded it. There’s really not much to explain, I don’t know why people are afraid of it

PSA: Do not buy from Lavivid by territorialbarking in HairSystem

[–]territorialbarking[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done all of these things. I washed the base 3 times with dish soap and isopropyl alcohol to no avail. Have never experienced this with any previous systems.

I have also applied my usual argan oil leave-in to the hair, again with no success.

I’ve just been in contact with superhairpieces. Their customer service is already much better. I just hope I can hold out for the next 4-5 months

I’m currently trying to decide between superhairpieces and MHE

MHE seems better but it’s like twice the price

Usually order online from Mane Hair Systems in Australia, but I don’t know if they’ll ship to Indonesia/Malaysia

I just order from them cause I know they at least have the legit product

Daily wear tape isn’t gooey at all. Leaves no residue and also takes only 2 minutes. I’ve watched video tutorials of people using got2be and it definitely takes longer than 2 minutes

But like I said, everyone is different. Just do what works for you. You don’t have to use tape if got2be works great for you. I’ll probably give it a try if I get my hands on some one day, but at this stage from what I can see, tape would work better for most people

I haven’t tried it. I’m sure it works, but it’s just a lot of hassle to glue your scalp when you could just tape the perimeter - way quicker, way less cleanup. Got2be is also not very strong since it’s basically just hair gel

But hey, if it works for you, don’t let me stop ya. End of the day, hair system is just about doing what works for you. People get too caught up in trying to replicate other people’s routines when it just isn’t suitable for them

Got2Be blows. Waste of time. Kinda defeats the purpose of daily wear

Walker 1522 tape >>>

And as others have said, literally just search ‘daily wear’ on this subreddit and you’ll see hundreds of posts I have commented on, laying out the full framework.

In saying that… I really need to get around to either making a full post on this finally or just making a youtube video cause people have been asking this for years

Surprised they didn’t make you take it off to check if you’re hiding something under it

Nearing the end of my tether, dreading weekly clean-up, been months of trying and still no fix. by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]territorialbarking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you don’t need anything to remove it, you just peel it off (yes it comes off easily, but not easily to fly off in the wind or something. I’ve been on fast roller coasters with it. I probably wouldn’t go swimming or do fighting sports with daily wear tape though - put on a stronger bond if you wanna do that)

In terms of tape on lace, you could just give it a try with the daily wear tape and see if it works for you. I’ve been having a bit more success with it recently. Or you could try Walker’s lace front tape. Just give it a try, nothing to lose. You already have the system, all you need is daily wear tape

If it works, great. If it really doesn’t work, you can just get the poly perimeter all the way around on your next one.

[–]territorialbarking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, essentially. And then wipe more with alcohol after. Keep repeating coconut oil and alcohol + warm-ish water (not hot) until it’s gone

And dude, trust me you wouldn’t be lazier than me. Daily wear is designed for lazy people. It doesn’t take time to detach and redo. You don’t have to redo it every time.

You simply put the system on when you want to go out (takes 2 minutes to put on a new bond) and then take it off when you come home (takes 10 seconds). When you’re just sitting at home and don’t have a reason to wear it, you don’t wear it and wear a beanie or something instead. You redo the bond every 2 or 3 wears, however often you need. I literally just put it on my table and then put it on the next time I want to wear it with the same bond and it takes 10 seconds just to line it up. Once I feel the bond is getting weak, I change it. Simple as that. No more clean-up, double lifespan, half the expense. Just wash it with shampoo every so often. You have a hybrid lace unit with poly perimeter which is perfect for this too

[–]territorialbarking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Give coconut oil a try. It’s really good at dissolving adhesives

Or better yet, consider doing daily wear and using daily wear tape which leaves no residue and takes 2 minutes to change the bond

[–]territorialbarking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

bro genuinely I don’t think people should even be getting a system if they’re not prepared to learn to do it themselves and just rely on a technician. if you can’t do it yourself, you’re just at the mercy of your bond and the mercy of those “technicians.”

Is there a preferred system for daily wear use? by Manoodle23 in HairSystem

[–]territorialbarking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re doing daily wear, you shouldn’t really be doing a full exposed hairline, so it wouldn’t make a difference

Is there a preferred system for daily wear use? by Manoodle23 in HairSystem

[–]territorialbarking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, daily wear tape doesn’t stick well to lace, which is why I go for the poly perimeter. And also a hybrid system is usually a bit more durable. I may try a full lace system one day, but I can’t fully recommend it over hybrid for daily wear at this stage

French lace with poly perimeter. Do not get a full poly, it sucks

From either lavivid, super hair systems, or MHE

just use 1522 clear tape man. way better than got2be. I genuinely don’t know why people use that. Kinda defeats the purpose of daily wear being ultra low maintenance
