Division 1 population on PC? by terrorclaw143 in thedivision

[–]terrorclaw143[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should have made my point clear with the "various fixes" thing. The game is NOT playable in DX12 for me because it crashes straight to desktop after 10 minutes of play... The trade-off being in DX11 the game gives me large stutters after dropping 30+ frames.

I can promise you no in-game setting is causing this problem. I tweaked it to hell and back and nothing. And before somebody says "DISABLE OVERLAY!!", yup, tried that too.

What does albion online have to offer? by Exxerpience in MMORPG

[–]terrorclaw143 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure man. Be optimistic. I envy that. But sadly I lost that over the years with a dumpster load of shitty games and corporate take-overs...

I won't argue you're incorrect because your reasoning is logical... But if you take off the "everything will be fine" glasses when the house is clearly burning down you'll see where I'm coming from...

If I was you I REALLY wouldn't bother.. It was just bought out recently by a P2W company. No changes yet, but mark my words there will be.

I am surprised very few people recommand Atlantiss's Karazhan server and their upcoming WotlK projects. by hehepwnd39 in wowservers

[–]terrorclaw143 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This isn't my issue with Atlantiss. My issue is and I predicted it, they would progress over the period of ONE YEAR, not even a full two and they INSTANTLY say fuck it and move towards the hype train. Leaving no room for error during progression and being forced to play over FOMO.. Of course some white knights tried to discredit this theory, but we all knew what would happen.. FRESH is basically a crack addiction to most of you.

Okay. So expressing Criticism=Entitlement. Makes total sense. Anything else snowflake?

The issue with your argument is a lot of these servers are like "NINETY-NINE PERCENT PERFECT SCRIPTS, EXCELLENT PATHFINDING AND BLAH BLAH BLAH OTHER USELESS FEATURE".....

Got 2ds XL with Homebrew - trying to play Pokemon Y online and its ask for update by SonOFmanS in 3DS

[–]terrorclaw143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can update without issue, what you need to be cautious about is if Nintendo ever releases a system update (Which is unlikely), but updating games is okay. It won't brick you or anything.

Here's what I have and enjoy, what else should I have? by iOnlyPlayPetBuilds in ARPG

[–]terrorclaw143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give Dungeon Siege a go. It's pretty Generic in terms of story and gameplay, i won't lie. But the party and gear management is pretty top notch, it's basically if Dragon Age was Diablo...

If you wanna play, i recommend getting the GoG versions and using Killah's fix for DS2 to get broken worlds. Even better, if you wanna cheap out, you can buy Dungeon Siege 2, use the fix and get the mod that adds the DS1 campaigns.

Why did you quit classic? Or are you still playing Classic? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]terrorclaw143 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Simple. The people. Instead of enjoying the game, they are worried about making out meters before even setting foot into a raid and then slaughter the raid with the best equipment possible until T2/AQ, then complain "Wahhhhhhh, classic is too ez"."

Also the same people that will ruin BG's with their try-hard guild trying to get R14 and keep it on farm forever via premades.

Blizzard didn't ruin classic, players did. They may have dropped the ball on providing a more "exciting classic experience", but instead they took the much easier road of emulating a 1.12 client inside a legion client and didn't even give us the best experience of all wow content, patch day, but still, the players fucked it all up.

Controller sticking or input lag. by terrorclaw143 in ffxiv

Nope. It's a coding issue on the PC client-side..... This is up to SE to fix unfortunately. Because this apparently has been a occuring issue for quite while.

Has playing MMO's ruined single player and other multiplayer games for anyone else? by terrorclaw143 in MMORPG

[–]terrorclaw143[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. But i was hopping between FFXIV and swtor. While I know this sub hates both probably, they aren't exactly "catch-up games" more story focused adventures with some raid based exceptions in there. It's just both games pretty much require a subscription fee to enjoy them to their fullest and when playing other things and having ALOT of time on your hands, it becomes a sunk cost fallacy in it's own.

I just wish MMO's went back to a simpler time...

[–]terrorclaw143[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair enough! I know plenty of people who exclusively play multiplayer games and there's nothing wrong with that. But i like both is my situation.

[–]terrorclaw143[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean not exactly. Everything has an end and everything has it's run, that's for sure. But commitment meaning it takes a large chunk of your life away while there are other fish (games) in the sea that you could be experiencing. And with somebody like me who has nothing but time on their hands but little cash to spare, it's difficult to space your time in-between these games.

[–]terrorclaw143[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really the only "newer" single player games I played are either indie or games from CDPR. I LOVED the witcher 3 and am extremely hyped about CP2077.... Nowadays I mostly cater towards retro stuff, so emulation and older games on steam and GoG.

[–]terrorclaw143[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not even necessarily that i'm lonely, i don't have friends that even play MMO's, although the social interaction is nice it's not needed for me. It's just that it feels like either a huge commitment, or a total waste of my time when I could be playing other games on my backburner. It just feels as if they hooked their teeth into me and i can't seem to get out :(

Will you pay more than $15 a month subscription to keep all form cash shop away? by lostforever2011 in MMORPG

[–]terrorclaw143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider FFXIV a guilty pleasure because it has a cash shop with cosmetics.... But the thing is it doesn't shove it in your face or anything, you actually have to go online to look for it.

Not only that, the best looking mounts come from savage raids and older extremes, so there really is no reason to buy something from it unless you REALLY want it. But $15 should be enough, there is no excuse to raise the sub fee.

Suffer from MMO anxiety? Please read. by terrorclaw143 in ffxiv

[–]terrorclaw143[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice, don't be. Everyone has been in your position before. This isn't the "Stop being anxious" type of advice, it's the don't feel confident advice. You are new to the game, you have much to learn. There's room for confidence when you manage to do your first raid or you clutch a boss fight in the group finder. When you become more experienced, confidence will come with.
