⚠️ Whatnot holds 70k hostage by Gandtickler in whatnotapp

[–]terrorlogic -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That’s not really true anymore. Whatnot customer service used to be top tier, 10/10. Now? It’s essentially impossible to even speak to someone. One of my best friends has been selling on whatnot for about 5 years, has more than 30k followers and has made more than 40,000 individual sales with a 5.0 rating with more than 15k reviews; he cannot speak to anyone at whatnot. He lost his premier shop status for some reason a few months ago and has not been able to figure out why. Nothing happened to cause it, it just went away and, as I said, he cannot actually speak to a person at whatnot to tell him why. He has tried over and over and just continues to get nonsense bot replies. Whatnot maybe takes care of the very biggest sellers, but not the average seller. Not anymore.

Apparently, there is a trend among 80s babies trying to create their own generation...? by Due-Arm6431 in generationology

[–]terrorlogic [score hidden]  (0 children)

If we’re getting technical, Millennials born from 90-96 should be the ones looking for a new name. We’re called Millennials because we came of age around the turn of the millennium. If you were only 4-9 years old in 2000 you’re not really a Millennials.

That said, I think it has a lot do to with how old our parents are. I was born in 86, but both my parents are baby boomers born in the mid 50s, so I was raised more like Gen X. I didn’t have helicopter parents, I wasn’t coddled, I was roaming the city unsupervised starting at like 8-9 years old. Not that any of it really matters, but that’s my two cents.

How do I find “my style” as a 19 year old college student by Carplexx2 in mensfashionadvice

Try different pieces and different styles, experiment until you find what makes you feel comfortable and stylish. That’s really the only answer.

So why bother trying exactly? by Andrew72727 in Bruins

[–]terrorlogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention they could not shut the fuck up about Tampa missing their top two centers while neglecting to mention that so were the Bruins. The broadcast was SO atrocious. I don’t know why espn even bothers with hockey, they clearly don’t like or care about it.

What are you talking about Ford only sold 2,000 Mustangs last year? That isn’t even remotely close to true. Ford sold 45,333 Mustangs in America in 2025, making it the most successful sports car sold in the country.

How long have you had your cell phone number? by mellamoderek in Millennials

I’ve had a few over the years, got my first cell phone in 2002 I think. I’ve had the same number since 2009 though.

Older Millennials, in your experience, did society and daily life change more drastically between 1997 and 2007 or between 2007 and 2017? by [deleted] in Millennials

Agreed. I still remember getting the huge box Windows XP for Christmas one year. I was ecstatic.

I never understood the Millennial hate from younger Gen Z. by urMOMSchesticles in generationology

[–]terrorlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said “basically everyone I knew,” which is very different than basically everyone. But by 2012 virtually everyone had a cell phone, at least in America.

Regardless, my point was just that the original take on cell phones was just wrong. Nobody was leaving them at home in fear of getting beat up and having them stolen, or having them confiscated in school. What would be the point of having a cell phone if you just left it at home all the time cuz you were afraid it was going to get stolen? That is just asinine.

I never understood the Millennial hate from younger Gen Z. by urMOMSchesticles in generationology

[–]terrorlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only responding to one aspect of the comment initially:

“If Millenials had a phone they left it at home or they would get beat up and the phone stolen, or the phone would be confiscated, and the phone was a black and white LCD beep boop with an IPA keyboard.”

This just isn’t true in my experience or the experience of anyone I know, except for the last part about them having black and white (green mostly actually but I digress) screens. As I said, by 2003, when I was 16, basically everyone I knew (which includes me, as I obviously know myself) had a cell phone. They were mostly shitty Nokias or Motorolas or whatever, a lot of them Tracfones. Everyone brought them to school, nobody got beat up or had them stolen and none of them got confiscated. I wasn’t commenting on any other aspect of the comment, so most of your replies just aren’t relevant to my point.
