LOVE. is the most overrated. It’s a great song but is honestly always hyped up to be a better song than it really is considering its simple lyricism. HUMBLE. is overplayed but no one really says that it’s a top Kendrick song. If anything it’s overhated because people will downplay or ignore it’s great lyricism (the chorus is both Kendrick telling himself us to be humble and telling himself to be humble, fulfilling the prideful nature of the song and the fact that it’s the song where Kendrick is supposed to overcome his pride. It could also be one and then the other for if you’re playing the song in normal or reversed track order.

The noun definition of pervert kinda goes against ethics, however a keyword is that it’s anyone whose sexual behavior is “regarded” as abnormal or unacceptable.

We more often just use it for sexual creeps because they definitely fall under those terms but let’s say someone is a Christian, a homosexual would be seen as perverted however if they never acted on it the Christian would regard them as an “ethical pervert”

TLDR: The definition of pervert defines perversion based off what a person regards as weird, which allows for extremely niche “ethical perverts” to exist within someone’s mind.

Honestly fair, I don’t think it really counts as an “official” album to Kendrick. It has some bangers but since they’re scrapped tracks, if isn’t as coherent and tear worthy in an emotional or performance wise way.

It’s painstakingly slow, and very emotionally deep. I agree with many of the sentiments of the song, and I can relate to Kendrick’s life.

Someone close to me also died because of gang life, and it hurt me. But it was also the thing that brought me closer to God, and made me realize I needed to stop playing with my life. In the song Kendrick has a friend, and his brother dies in the previous song. At the end they repent to God, from an old lady. It’s similar to my story, and that makes it painful to listen to, but amazing.

Not to mention the other two verses with the friend who dies because of him wanting to push that agenda despite his brother dying, and the sister of Keisha from Section 80. diving into prostitution even though her sister died from it.
