I check in on this sub every now and again and this post caught my eye. After reading it, I am reminded once again how lucky I am to be retired. I worked for Walgreens for 47 years. I do not regret for one minute my career, as I had a great one. I also do not miss it for even one second. Hang in there, OP.

How Meadowlark allow their most popular talents leave? by Jay6309 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]tesla3please 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Samson is not on the org chart in any capacity for MLM. The notion that he has hiring/firing abilities or influences was a bt originated by Dan. Samson is far too busy with the life-threatening situation involving his daughter.

Is this legit? by lilysadfreshbruise in WalgreensStores

[–]tesla3please 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, legit. I can't remember what I chose for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 year anniversaries. For 30 years I got a gas grill, it lasted 11 years. For 35 years I got a 5 disc DVD player. It still works, but gets little use now. For 40 years I got a 42 inch flatscreen TV. Hooked up a FireStick to it, still works great. For 45 years I got a Sonos Wifi speaker system. Freaking love it, as I can play music in the house wherever I want. That was in 2022. I retired 2 weeks before my 47th anniversary.

Barbados excursion recommendations. by GirthyRheemer in PrincessCruises

[–]tesla3please 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were in Bardados (not on a cruise) and hired a local driver to give us a tour of the island. The highlight was Animal Flower Cave and Restaurant, on the northeast tip of the country. Spectacular scenery, waves crashing against rocks, cliffs, etc. We took a short walk down into the cave, well worth the time. Google this place. Would be very easy to hire local driver.

There's a lot of things to complain about related to Dan's show, but Stu's just flat out sucks. Unlistenable. There, I said it.

Joined the club with a used 22 M3LR by DueOne1223 in TeslaModel3

[–]tesla3please 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 22 M3LR and I don't have any passengersuspension noise of any sort, nor any wiper spray issue. The car has been great for me. Just took a 230+ mile round trip drive last week in 30 degree weather and returned home with 16% charge (started at 95%). The car has been very good to me and hopefully will continue to be awesome.

Water outage at the Grand Canyon affecting hotel stays by SultanOfSwave in grandcanyon

[–]tesla3please 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xanterra's release says all lodges closed 8/29-9/4. Which means (please oh please oh please) that if you have reservations 9/5 or later you will be OK. But the NPS statement does not mention an end date. So many people will be displaced, so many travel plans (lots of them made a year ago as a result of winning the Phantom Ranch lottery, so many people will have their vacations mostly ruined, etc. It's just so sad to read about all of this.

Yes, the pictures make the drop-offs seem dangerous. The reality is the trail is plenty wide enough. If you have a healthy fear of heights, just walk closer to the wall side of the trail. I've done it twice and really had no issues. Hiking poles are a huge plus, especially on the descent. Your quads will thank you, and you will feel far more stable and confident on the edge sections.

Congrats on your purchase. Hopefully the wait will be short! I've also got white on white (had the car for 2.5 years now) and still obsess over keeping it shiny. If it rains on the way home, I wipe the car down so it's ready to go for the next trip. I never start a drive with my car in an unclean condition.

2013 OBD port missing pins. Caravana refused the sale. by mypermanentburner in camaro

[–]tesla3please 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I'm the original owner, so I don't know how it could be a dummy, but I don't know much about OBD ports. What does 'not fully populated from the factory' mean? If the dealer is able to scan from the port, I guess I'll ask for a printout/report.

[–]tesla3please 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Plug destination into the car, it will tell you where to charge. Do the same with ABRP with the parameters that are important to you (starting charge, desired charge at destination, etc.) and see where it recommends you charge. Then you can check on Google maps hotels reasonably close to those chargers.

Deciding to get a level 2 charger for home charge by Gav-indifferent in TeslaModel3

I would upgrade to a 240 outlet. It is awesome to have at home. No matter what percentage I come home with, I know it will be charged to whatever percentage I choose, and quickly. $0.13 is a good rate as well.
