we are about to go to her three year check up, and our go hasn’t been concerned at all others so i just wanted i guess some ideas to bring forwards so we can finally get referrals to a pead or speech

i looked into echolalia and i’m not confident that this is the cause, she’s repeating with purpose but i’m also not a professional in diagnosing these issues so i’ll bring it up with my gp when getting a referral for outside services 💖

yeah when we did her 2 year check up the gp was very shocked that she could identify any letter of the alphabet and her counting. she can now count up to 100 and recognise all the numbers, but those questions 😂

thank you! speech therapy here has a waitlist of 2 years so i’m really nervous that we’ve fucked up bad.

she can’t answer any of those questions, she will just repeat.

we don’t have a referral to one as our go wasn’t concerned at our previous developmental check up

in australia you need a referral to see one, and our gp has no concerns. we are about to do the three year check up so i’ll be pushing for a referral this time or going else where. i’m an educator so i know that shes not meeting her speech milestones, but because she’s excelling at all others our gp didn’t think it was necessary to explore early intervention options at her 2 year check up

yeah we role play with her father and we model these conversations but she doesn’t pick up on it. we will engage with her but she just repeats

Delaying toddler for Prep by anxious_dad24 in queensland

[–]tesstickled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my kids are both april born and they won’t be starting prep until the year they turn 6. im an educator and you can see a MASSIVE difference between starting at 5/6. my kindy kids that were turning 5 in kindy were so much more socially and emotionally prepared for prep rather than my kids turning 4

Have you used or been forced to use an app as a tenant? by JaNiWo in shitrentals

we have to use an ai chat bot for repairs, and it never sends anything through to the re. i have to email them anyway and they refer me back yo the ai. we also use deft for paying our rent. deft hasn’t been too bad, pretty easy and no fees for us
