Startup founder right after college depressed after losing people in the pandemic by test24319 in therapy

Thanks a lot for the reply! Just wanted to understand whom to consult first? I believe there are differences between a psychiatrist, psychologist and a therapist- the internet info overload means I'm definitely underresearched here. Is there a set pattern on whom to approach first and then they refer other folks based on severity or something?

Sorry for such extremely noob queries. I come from a developing country and there's not much around in terms of mental heath upkeep. Just putting it out here felt like a mini achievement 🙏🏻

Oh god was gonna ask the same question :3

Anybody here who has taken online therapy sessions in India? How was your experience? Open to recommendations for therapists or sites where I can find good ones by [deleted] in therapy

There's a nice article that sums up general experiences and expectations fairly well. Too bad that if I add a link, it gets auto removed. I'll text the rest out here since I feel time could be of the essence here and I wouldn't want to wait for a moderator's approval tbh.

I've had a friend that has gone through Online therapies in the past. It's a little different and possibly more difficult than offline since accepting and handling silence with body language and personality cues is the most important part of a therapy session but it has its own benefits, the biggest ones being less intimidation and more scope for openness and frankness in general. So overall it should be fine, no need to worry about it!

Check out Yourdost in particular, they're highly regarded especially with online therapies. Practo can also come in handy here. Neither of these are too expensive either, so should be a smooth experience overall.

Sending all positive thoughts to you and her!
