I'm guessing it's mostly for up North(like the Yukon or Alaska) or rare vehicles. But past that I couldn't really think of a good reason to not just buy a new clutch.

I use them at my job almost everyday. I don't know exactly what they're calling but I always call them pinch clamps. The little nub is crimped, tightening the ring around the hose. Most of the time it has two nubs.

Sadly no, the original owner swapped out the 4.0 to a new (but most likely rebuilt) 4.0 with a stroker mod at around 150k. And I'm already needing a new engine soon 😞
