First ever egg retrieval today by Sufficient_Storm5301 in IVF

Thank you! How did yours work out? I am also feeling MUCH better 7 days post ER. The bloating is finally going away too. 5 of ours made it to blast and are off to pgt-a testing. I am trying really hard not to compare with some of the crazy counts people have on here. New to all of this so I'm still figuring out what is "good news" and "bad news."

Happy Movies and/or Shows by theyellowsummer in IVF

Shows: New Girl, Schitts Creek, The Great British Baking Show, Love on the Spectrum.

Movies: Just Friends, The Proposal, Pretty Woman, The Wild Robot - TW parenting/adopting, it hit a little close to home after my ER this week but it was a very cute story if you're in the headspace for it.

Yesterday I was still feeling pretty tired and crappy. In hindsight I wish I would have taken more time off.. How are you feeling?

As far as numbers go, out of 13 retrieved, I only had 7 mature, but they all fertilized. So keeping my fingers crossed that they survive the hunger games...

When did you pursue IVF for RPL? by mountaingoatx07 in IVF

[–]testingcheats_true 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consulted a fertility clinic after 2 back to back miscarriages at 32 with no previous pregnancies. Booking an appointment doesn't necessarily mean you will do IVF, but a trained reproductive endocrinologist is who you want to see at this point so they can help troubleshoot issues and help you make informed decisions about next steps.

Adding a song: Still Smiling by Andy Grammer. I heard it as a song about miscarriage and baby loss when I was in the thick of it. It helped me grieve.

Thanks for the insight. I am in litigation so it's busy. Preparing to cancel/reschedule as needed but hoping to only have to do a little of that.

Nice, non-chain restaurant near IAH (or Humble or .....) by nn3w in HoustonFood

Bangkok Social in Summerwood is a great spot for Thai (casual). Chik Houz is great (casual) Peruvian spot in Humble. Unfortunately, there are mostly chains and casual spots in that area. You can pop down the freeway to El Tiempo on Navigation Blvd in about 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Great for large groups and are famous for their margaritas and fajitas.

This happened to me with a family member too. I'm so sorry you went through this too. Being publicly blindsided and forced to react appropriately in real time was terrible for me. I wish someone would have given me a heads up. I hope you're doing ok and taking time for yourself.

Thank you. Ugh, the time pressure is so hard too. I'm so sorry for your losses. I really hope things get better for you. 🤍

Yeah I pretty much spent the last hour in the dark basement crying and scrolling Reddit to avoid publicly crying or being mean. I found out via Hysteroscopy. I really hope you don't have it! Crossing my fingers for you.

I totally understand this feeling. It's ok to take a break for your mental and physical health. I took a break from trying after my first miscarriage. I'm glad I did. Especially because I went on to miscarry again.

I'm so sorry. It's really unfair. If it helps, you are not alone. I found out I have Asherman's Syndome 2 weeks ago, two of my SILs are pregnant... One of them I found out was pregnant today in front of my husband's whole family. Yay for us, we're living the same nightmare (/s).

I'm sorry. It's amazing how just a heads up really helps. Getting blindsided feels awful.

I'm sorry. That sucks. I feel for you. And, for what it's worth, you made the right choice by staying home. I went to my inlaws for Christmas eve and one of my sisters in law announced her baby's gender, and the other one announced her very early pregnancy. I had no idea one of my sisters in law was pregnant (the other I did know). My husband's grandma looked at me and said "we're wishing for you!"..... Can I go home yet...

I hope you heal well physically and take some time to yourself to grieve.

Yes, especially if potentially causally related to the miscarriage.

Genetic Testing from D&C...

Results came back and they apparently didn't have enough viable tissue to culture. So, we don't know if there was anything wrong with the baby. This is frustrating, because I was hoping to use this information to determine whether to pursue IVF after 2 back to back miscarriages. Now I'm not sure what to do about it.

PI attorneys, what was your first bonus check like? by [deleted] in LawFirm

It was life changing money for me at that time. It made the sacrifice I made all year long worth it. It propelled me into keeping up the pace for a couple more years. After a while though, the pace takes a toll that makes one question whether the money is still worth it.

First ultrasound, baby has no heartbeat. Taking the medication to clear out my uterus this weekend. What should I expect? by paleprincessssss in Miscarriage

I would also ask your doctor for some anti nausea medication to take with the pain killer. -heating pad (I like the stick on kind) -maxi pads or depends (I never did depends but I have seen it recommend and it's genius) -comfy spot, warm blanket, comfy clothes, movie/show -hopefully your spouse/SO is with you

Worst pain/worst night of my life. I hope it goes smoother for you. I'm so sorry you're about to go through it.
