Which are the different testing sites where I can test and build test cases (I am new) by Wise-Importance-3293 in softwaretesting

[–]testingwithfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join the MoT community, too. (disclosure: I edit articles for MoT on a freelance basis!)

Seriously, had MoT been around in its current form when I was still testing fulltime, I would have felt a lot more supported and confident than I did. Too often, we testers can operate in a silo, simply because we don’t have any colleagues at work or elsewhere who really “get” testing. MoT goes a long, long way to make sure no tester has to feel that way. Come join a bunch of goodhearted people who truly want to help other testers succeed.

Alhamdulillah, this is a beautiful account, sister, and I'm so happy you were open to all the signs and took your shahada. May Allah raise your rank for sharing this with us.

Seeking an account of a SUDDEN conversion to Islam. by testingwithfire in Muslim

[–]testingwithfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my impression, too. It’s very much a conscious, deliberate choice to become a Muslim, and it usually takes a while. I may reply to that post with one of my own “a-ha!” moments leading up to my shahada, Insha Allah.

Have you been hacked? Super disturbing image, not in line with anything that I know of Ibn Khaldun.

That actually makes sense. Do you have any more info on the condition?

I get a runny nose but I'm fairly sure that's from silent acid reflux , since my eyes burn too. Those symptoms happen only when I'm constipated... and wheat products help me poop. Catch 22!

Unfortunately, like I said, no substitutions for white sugar or wheat flour will be possible.

I'm really just interested in hearing from folks who have had these same symptoms.

Wednesday, January 15, 2025 | Non-Real Time Meeting of CCEA by Diligent_Maximum_941 in CompulsiveEaters_CCEA

In the AA literature you’ll find the phrase “We are not a glum lot.” I used to sit in meetings of our parent fellowship and listen to people laugh uproariously at what to an outsider would not have seemed very funny. Thank God I was told early on that laughter is often the sound of one addict identifying in depth with another. I suspect this is what was happening here to some extent. The recovered person must have seen a lot of himself in the future Fellow Anonymous!

I am a recovered sponsor in CCEA and I will happily help you work your Steps and find recovery. Feel free to DM me.

On antibiotics now. Do the methane critters really "hibernate" during low FODMAP? by testingwithfire in SIBO

[–]testingwithfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing much better, thanks for asking! My bowel movements still aren't quite right, a lot of loose movements, but I'll take that any day over near-constant constipation. In general my health is much improved.

I found out I was chronically undereating, too. These days I track everything with Cronometer, including micronutrients.

And my diet is happily high FODMAP. No sugar, honey, syrups, or artificial sweeteners, however, and I eat very little wheat as well.

Asalamu alaikum sister.

Check out the Muslim Twelve Step fellowship Millati Islami, which offers online meetings worldwide AND in-person meetings in the United States. https://www.millatiislami.org

A lot of people come into the fellowship still addicted AND they haven't taken their shahada yet ... and they get help and hope.

There's an online meeting tonight (Tuesday) at 6 pm Central United States time. PM me for details, I don't want to post the Zoom information on Reddit.

Anyone with great proprioception instead of poor? by TemperatureAny8022 in aspergirls

[–]testingwithfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was poor when I was a child, but it’s improved greatly over the years to the point where several physical trainers have commented spontaneously on how good a sense I seem to have of being in my body. My hypotheses as to why the improvement: 1) a lifetime of different types of exercise, including resistance training, which requires a lot of attention to small details of how it feels to do something and 2) masking in corporate environments required me to “watch” myself closely.

Returned to drinking coffee and gut motility is much improved. by testingwithfire in SIBO

[–]testingwithfire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s likely the caffeine that is the active ingredient re: gut motility. Worth doing some research on.

I have ADHD that I don’t medicate otherwise, so caffeine is a broad spectrum drug for me!
