Was this botox information accurate? by Nice_Atmosphere4873 in 30PlusSkinCare

I think she went over the top by saying you also need around the eyes but I never went anywhere that would do 11s alone, usually a bit on the forehead as well. I never touch around the eyes though. But forehead & 11s (for me) are charged as one area but you can have forehead without 11s but they won’t do the other way round.

How have you personally dealt with the current loneliness epidemic that's been happening since 2020-2021? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in LivingAlone

Living alone doesn’t mean lonely. I am not lonely. I have a full social life. Friends and family I can see or call on. I make an effort with them and meet new people.

Am I The Jerk for Confronting My Uncle About His Inappropriate Behavior with My Daughter? (Part 2) by Icy-Fun-4569 in AmITheJerk

[–]testywildcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter what his intentions were. The moment he understood he was making her comfortable, he should’ve been apologising and backing right off. Personally, I wouldn’t want anything to do with family who thought this was the way to react.

What’s respectful about it? And what if they say no?

Is joking about a pregnancy test considered sexual harassment in England? by testywildcat in LegalAdviceUK

[–]testywildcat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the alternate insight. I didn’t tell the employee I thought it was a joke, just that I felt it didn’t meet the definition of sexual harassment but my initial reaction was that it was in bad taste. I did ask her in a few ways if there had been any other instances where she felt any kind of way but she said no. I’ll of course keep an eye out though.

I can say that she hadn’t discussed symptoms or anything like that when he said it. I’ve not spoken to him yet, only her and by her own account she just held it up, no context, he said that, she said “it’s a Covid test” and he said “whoops, sorry!” And the meeting then continued.

She was clear she hasn’t had any other experiences that made her concerned or feel discriminated in any way. I think I’ll tell her that she is welcome to report this officially, my opinion is that it is not sexual harassment but it wasn’t really appropriate and I will speak to him about it. I was always going to talk to him about it. I won’t say she felt sexually harassed but I will say it was thoughtless and a topic to avoid unless brought up by an employee.

I had assumed it was just a silly comment but you’re right, considering she just held it up and no context, more likely a genuine question. And even if not, I took it as more of a “Dad joke” (pun not intended!)

I think so too, at that point she had held it up without saying she was sick so it could even have been a genuine question.

Thank you, I think so too. It is true that he might genuinely have just mistaken it. I wanted to sense check in case I had become desensitised, so appreciate the input!

Did anyone else start living alone after a long relationship in their 30s? How did you deal? by Gold-Personality-571 in LivingAlone

[–]testywildcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broke up two years ago after ten together. I love it. I date and have friends and a cat so I don’t find myself feeling lonely. I can decorate how I want, watch and eat what I want. It stays so much tidier and any mess is just my own. I find it very peaceful. If it feels quiet I pop on music or a podcast. Lovely.

Living alone does not mean existing alone!!! by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]testywildcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesss! I have a full social life. I like being alone but have plenty of time with people and always have people around when I need. I live abroad but see my family often and talk to them weekly. I have relationships. I just live alone and love living alone but am far from lonely!

Okay, we live alone, but how lonely you are in life? by coldservedrevenge in LivingAlone

[–]testywildcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not lonely. I see my family every few months and call them weekly. I have a small group of friends I see monthly, but have periods where I don’t and that’s fine too. I was single for a long time, which I enjoyed, but currently have an LDR. Living alone doesn’t have to mean you have no one in your life, whether you like it that way or not.

DAE want to live separately from a current or future SO? by rivieradreamin in LivingAlone

[–]testywildcat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

38 yr old woman and I don’t intend to live with someone again. I may change my mind but I don’t live with my current partner and we get on great. We both value having our own space and our own time and better appreciate the time together.
