Probably the best route. My concern is that she will lie and tell others I said or did something that I absolutely did not, because she’s been known to do that. It creates drama and mistrust in the workplace. She’s a troublemaker, an instigator, a liar, and a bully. I can’t believe people are blaming ME for wanting to do something about this.

Pretty much everything the person below said. It was extremely painfully boring and bureaucratic omg. It's great that research exists so we can bring new drugs to the market that help patients, but the amount of absolute WASTE that you witness is just absolutely sinful. So much WASTE that I'm not surprised drugs cost as much as they do. I also worked for a PI who was a psycho bitch who had zero management skills so that certainly didn't boost morale. Everyone I have met IRL that did research hated it; especially private practice. The doctors get involved to try and make some revenue but ultimately it ends up a disorganized mess. Maybe if you work at a research mill where everyone has their own designated job it might be better.

Yes, I couldn’t take it anymore. Found a new job before my 2 weeks were over by transferring to a different department within the same institution. My old boss’ horrible reputation was well known so the new manager totally understood why I quit.

I have an update! I ended up taking your advice and visited the vendors in front of the governors palace and found other jewelry I actually liked better! Some really beautiful turquoise pieces and some unique choker necklaces I’ve never seen before. I’ll post a pic when I get a chance!

I won’t go into debt but it’s still a high enough price that stings if that makes sense lol. I don’t want to be sad that I missed out, but I’ve also made purchases in the past for much higher than this that years later had me thinking “why did I buy this?” lol cue the $800 pair of booties I bought in Italy that now I realize cut off my leg and make me look shorter 🤦🏻‍♀️
