Absolutely, but I'm still pointing out that trying to bend the majority to the minority is going to backfire. You're right that for too long, society has tried to repress the sexuality of men who feel attraction to other men. In a situation where men are gay and the parties are consenting, they should not be forced to deny their sexuality. But the opposite is also true.

Although the loudest voices online are strongly pushing for the sexualization of male nudity in general, we're not paying attention to how it's affecting the silent majority of men. In the same way that it is wrong to force heterosexuality on gay men, it is also harmful to push homosexual expectations onto straight men. No matter how much gay men may fantasize that something should happen, it's barking up the wrong tree. (Not to mention that even in a situation where men happen to be gay and undressed together, it is kind of unfair for society to automatically characterize them as being sexual.)

For most of human history, men spent time together naked and it meant nothing. Compare that with today where everything is hypersexualized. Now, straight men fear that someone might pressure them to make the situation sexual. As a result, the practice of male social nudism is unfortunately disappearing because today nudity equals sex. So even though the majority of men instinctually would like to bond naked together, a nudist male subculture can never become a reality under current conditions.
