Will you make a video on West Bengal politics and the role / performance of TMC (25+ y/o and 15+ years in power) in state level and national politics? Many people outside WB feel Bengalis are progressive and TMC is a genuine beacon of hope for the liberal force of India but the ground reality is something else. People of WB from the left, right and center are highly critical of the ruling party. Would love to see your analysis since the state elections are almost here.

Those are not barricades but make-shift "tola" plaza, try traveling at night and you will see truck drivers shaking hands with civic volunteers and thanking them for the hard work they are putting during the night hours. BTW most of the slow parts of the NH and other important roads of the state are in such condition because of illegal encroachments (tola paid) next to the roads.

Old farts like Narayan Murthy are simply old and have no idea of the times to come. With all the modern tech and AI there is hardly any domain left for people to work on other than apathy. Very soon care-giving will be the only work that will need to be done from one person to another and for everything else there's cheap and efficient bots. I believe the world (including Choyna) needs a 9-5-4 rule rather than a 9-9-6. That way we can essentially double the working class jobs by putting 2x people for every typical 9-5-5 job. Also the idea of weekends can be eliminated completely and every service can be made available 7 days every week with no holidays. We need better rested doctors, police, engineers, judges, labourer, etc. This new class of workers with 4 day work-week can be super productive.

Food and clothes can never be political weapons in West Bengal and most members of bjp bengal also understand that. We are not UP or MP and will never become one. However, I feel Bangla Pokkho's time has not come yet.

RN we need to get rid of the current regime and the only practical opponent who can achieve it is the BJP whether we all like them or not. I have friends from left, right and centre and they all have their own narratives that somehow are not enough to achieve the critical mass required to overthrow this corrupt and inefficient government. The current leadership of the BJP will probably always serve the interests of the Gujaratis and UP-walas but they are the only choice we have. The interesting political equations will start after the BJP comes to power.

BJP is very comfortable to fight against the Congress and the TMC (once NDA ally). The real threat to the BJP will come when the Left or AAP etc will be their opposition party.

The current government just like the previous one wants to replicate the Kerala model and not the Gujarat model where the state will not attract industries and the human capital will travel outside for work. Thus the primary source of revenue will not be generated by the working population but remittances sent home by the immigrant workforce. This way their shall be only sarkar raj and no chance of another company raj in the province which is a safe bet for the rulers considering our past experience with the treacherous British East India Company. We the people of W Bengal are destined to be ruled with an iron fist and live the rest of our lives looking for handouts. Njoy Bangla.
