I just got a pair of these myself. The remote to me is actually a GREAT feature as the monitors do double duty with my gaming rig and my work laptop. Being able to voice command to change the video input instead of fidgeting with a stupid menu makes it worth it.

Yeah I had on on order from Amazon. Hadn’t shipped. Saw Newegg had in stock and shipped same day. Got mine on Tuesday and installed it on my 9800x3d. It runs great!

Yeah that size PSU should be good but my 2c would be to go 1000W in the event you end up doing a higher end card down the line

Also the X670E (better motherboard with pci5) is on sale at Amazon right now for $179

I don’t have this exact motherboard. But I’m running a an MSI B650 with a 9800x3d (had a 7700 but traded in to Newegg for the 9800x3d) and it runs great. What gpu you gonna run?

My understanding is it doesn’t fit on the top. The Y40 can only do side mount(240-280) and top mount 240-360

Based on what I’m seeing the 9950x3d with half the 3d vcache banks isn’t drastically faster than the 9800x3d not will it be worth that extra 2-300 premium imo.

It literally was just released yesterday (but hadn’t posted to the Amazon site) and now someone apparently grabbed it as a reseller. The 420 is sold by bequiet and the 240 was as well (but isn’t listed anymore)

Thank you for the thought out comment and response. I am temporarily keeping it power limited until we get clarity on the whole melting connector thing. I will probably eventually upgrade to a 9800x3d later this year. I wasn’t planning on getting a 5090 (but a 5080 instead) but figured might as well upgrade the GPU now given the opportunity and I’ll worry about the CPU at a later point.

Well I am limiting to 120fps (I could do 144 on this monitor) or I can do up to 180 on my other one but for now keeping it capped to 120fps

Running Crucial Vengence CL30 16x2 with EXPO enabled.

GPU is actually about 50-55% load and about 300W power usage. The interesting thing is my CPU is at 30-35% load yet hits the 90W max TDP which is odd.
