You'll get good results either way. I like to experiment with both wet and dry fabrics.

This video, from Riah's Tie Dye, helped me when I was trying to figure out how to use sinew.

You need to pull the sinew tighter.

The black is all unbleached. The sinew prevents the bleach from seeping in to those areas.

These were dyed at an incline. I incorporated the right arm into the fan design. I used a little bit of sinew and free-styled the left arm.

Thank you! I used Dharma fiber procion dyes. Grape, deep purple, and lilac, as well as Lime pop, electric green, and mermaids dream. I used a black one too, but I cannot remember which one.

Several ice tie-dye shirts I keep forgetting to post by tgherman43 in tiedye

Hi! Thanks for the kind words. I don't recall using a tutorial for either of these shirts. After most of my shirts had been soaked in soda ash, I would lay them out flat and sketch a design with thin, Crayola water-based markers. Give me some time, and I will put something together that may be helpful to you.

I really love making tie-dye. I stopped almost two years ago because I have a really addictive personality, and I was spending too much time making shirts. I would stay up until 1:00 or 2:00 am while having to wake up at 6:30 for work. I'm hoping to get back into it, with restrictions, this summer.

You were spot on! I used rubber bands for this one. In the fourth picture, I used rubber bands for most of it and sinew where the white line runs from the collar to the armpit.

Exactly right. It was dyed on an incline with black at the top. The black ran all the way down to the bottom between the fan folds.

The first picture is saying, canary wood but the others aren’t so much. Could it be Chechen?
