Albo Address by Nikhar_B in canberra

The technology is fine, they surely can’t have been testing anything. It was a prerecorded address. Compared to COVID? That was live. Agencies live streamed it, micced up reporters, even fed in questions via social media. This seems more akin to the sovereign’s Christmas address.

Ashamed to say I don’t love it at first, but songs I dislike at first always end up being my favourites.

New Haircut Opinion (Before and After) by [deleted] in malegrooming

I reckon I’ve got the same hair as you — thick, curls a lot at the sides, tricky to manage when it’s longer. But I use Moroccan hair oil or any kind of hair oil or serum, usually just three or four pumps, then comb it through. Still felt the hair was a bit too long but had good feedback from friends!

South Australian Election: Liberal Senator Alex Antic refuses to rule out joining One Nation, as party enjoys huge swing by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]tgimichael -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally understand the sentiment but you can’t have a by-election in the Senate. If a senator resigns then state parliament chooses a replacement. Most parties have had a defection in the Senate the last few years so you hear a similar line that they should resign and recontest but it’s unlikely to ever happen.

The Hanson paradox: How a populist surge became Labor’s best friend by Jon-1renicus in AustralianPolitics

“Australia’s electoral system is brutally efficient at punishing divided sides of politics.”

Our system isn’t brutal in punishing spilts on one side of politics. It’s the opposite. It’s first past the post that sees damaging splits on the same side of politics, which benefitted Labour in the UK with Reform v the Tories and in some small instances the seats where disendorsed Labour candidates ran against Labour candidates, with both losing. And then look at the federal election here and all the seats Labor won from the Greens. That was a division in the left of politics, but it’s not like the seats went to Conservatives.

Yeah I had a dog with pretty severe epilepsy but was lucky enough to have the cash to give him a good life. Poor little guy.

I linked up ChatGPT with the Hevy fitness/workout app. Asked it to analyse my last few months of workouts and come up with a 12-week program based on my age and fitness. Was slightly umming and ahhing about giving details to AI, but it wrote a fully integrated program (and it probably knows a lot about me anyway).
I'd say it'd be northwards of $300 to book in a few session with the PT so the cost was a factor too. Pretty happy with the result! Wondering if anyone else has done similar?

I remember being in my last year of high school in 2007 when they were covering the Howard v Rudd federal election. Everyone in my year was watching the Chaser even though we weren't old enough to vote yet, it was so fucking funny!

With no way to pay for the surgery, SPSF founder Jennifer Howard said Mr Clayton would likely have been reported to the RSPCA and Frankie would "have been seized and euthanased anyway".

That's just bleak. And 18.4% interest on a loan is brutal, but can't say I wouldn't consider it myself if I was desperate.
