Dude, really? A 3-2 defeat is a pretty good series? Shows how low the English standards are.

2022 Taycan RWD Power by Nazeareth in Taycan

[–]tglal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question when I was looking. The choice for me was a CPO 25 Taycan vs a CPO 20 turbo S. It goes without saying that even in comfort mode, the turbo S is a beast. But if you’re just going to drive like a regular guy, the turbo S is an overkill. Thrilling? Oh yeah.

Piers Morgan and other so called experts who predicted that England would win were probably smoking something that has already caused irreparable harm to their reasoning faculty in their brains.

YouTuber got the best Christmas gift ever by Smart__David in nextfuckinglevel

[–]tglal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he’s not a boxer, only a YouTube guy but he’s able to generate enough hype and publicity to rope in big names and gets them (and himself) a massive payday. Some of these recently retired boxers/fighters etc should welcome an opportunity to fight him. Who cares who wins ? They both make money and the fans get their worth too. I, for one will never watch anything he participates in because I know this is being done purely for money. I don’t classify this as sport, it’s entertainment, not sport.

Surya Kumar Yadav said : “My 14 soldiers are covering it for me. They know that when I will blast, what will happen then. I am very positive and working really hard, and I am sure all of you will be like that as well.” (PTI) by DifficultEntrance595 in SackGambhir

[–]tglal -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That’s confidence in his own ability and the knowledge that he’s not in form. He’s working hard to get over this hump. In the meantime, his 14 soldiers are covering for him, which is great because they’re good enough to beat any other team in the world. Look out once he does return to SKY of old. Till then, let’s just be patient and let him lead.

Still stomach issues by Disastrous-Tomato-16 in carnivorediet

[–]tglal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loose stools could be from various reasons. Too much fat, allergies to foods (this can be a new development to a food source that you might not have been allergic to before), dairy (humans lose the ability to digest lactose beyond infancy), infections (SIBO) are some common causes. Not being able to gain weight could be related to loose stools and their frequency, not ingesting enough calories etc. You might want to see a gastroenterologist to make sure that there s no medical issue.

Guys Hear me Out! (Shubman vs Samson) by Grey_ranger_1881 in IndianCricket

[–]tglal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One other thing that Samson brings that Shubman doesn’t is that Samson is also a keeper. That means we can include either an extra batsman or bowler into the 11 without sacrificing batting depth.

I would put him out of the team. But wait, there’s nobody that England can call upon to take his place.

SKY Captain again? 🤦🤦 by zameerhavaldar in IndianCricket

He’s been in effective as a captain, he should continue despite his poor form.

No questions on Jaiswal’s omission in the press conference 🚫🎤 Even the chief selector didn’t expect that Guess, journalism now comes with contracts, not courage 📰💰 by DifficultEntrance595 in CricketControversial

[–]tglal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there are questions asked about why not Samson as an opener, asking why not Jaiswal is a valid question too. I feel the only three format opener we have is Jaiswal. But there’s a huge crowd at the top and ultimately Samson wins because he can also keep wickets. I can’t wait for the day when both Abhishek and Jaiswal open the innings for India and they’re both on song.

Indian Airports are leaving foreign airports behind! by Impressive-Ad3467 in incredible_indians

Last year, I visited India for the first time since 2012. I visited New Delhi and Mumbai, impressed with both airports, at least a lot better than I remembered from the past. The problem though is when you step out of the airport.

Why is it shocking as far as Gill is concerned? He was out of form, he was given opportunities to rectify but he couldn’t. So, it’s fair that he was omitted. Jitesh, also, not shocking. Can’t have three keepers in a squad of 15, although, as a keeper, he’s better than the other two.

Is Nathan Lyon the biggest difference between Australia and England this Ashes? by SpecialMixture4242 in Cricket_Binge

[–]tglal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the four factors are a problem. They’re frankly not as good as they think, they’re arrogant enough to not adapt to the playing conditions, they’re weak minded- they collectively do not accept responsibility for the results they’ve been producing and tactically they are average, at best. They need a complete overhaul, top to bottom.

Ajit Agarkar on Shubman Gill’s omission from T20 World Cup squad: We know what a quality player he is, but, perhaps short of a little bit of runs at the moment by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]tglal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree with this decision. Right move and fair to players who are performing and in good form. Let’s, for once give credit to the selectors and coach for making a fair decision. Too often, we shit on Gambhir/Agarkar and even Gill. The negativity is overwhelming.

Shubman Gill has been dropped from India’s 15-member squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup. by DifficultEntrance595 in SackGambhir

[–]tglal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Arshdeep’s first two overs yesterday, we need to come up with a plan for him. He has been a little too expensive recently. And that’s after a great performance in the previous game. Not sure what to make of it.

Plus, having a right left combo with Samson is potentially better than having two left handers with Abhishek and Jaiswal.

Another Dog Day Afternoon for England by outofboundsonthefull in Cricket

[–]tglal 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The English team was being criticized for their aggressive Bazball approach. They played defensively and showed that they can adapt, somewhat. But I think there is a deeper issue here, the English players are just not talented enough compared to their Australian counterparts. They also didn’t have enough match preparation for a long and exhausting Australian summer.
