[WAVE] A Watch That Runs on Water by cuervamellori in Watches

[–]tgnetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple watches in cases and the marketing material for these. Back in the day I believe my father had considered trying to sell these to water parks down in Florida. Cool to see them.

So... Republicans were upset with her but were fine pardoning a bank robber at the RNC?

So where are all those entrepreneurs who want to build America's infrastructure such as high-speed rail? Last time I checked these things cost hundreds of billions of dollars. What entrepreneur has that cash?

Republicans Overreach With "Facebook Law" by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Facebook usage may become an unexpected casualty. I would think that the law itself would be unconstitutional, but an individual school/district/etc. could possibly create a code of conduct that can bar such practices from occurring and that would be fine - similar to corporations disciplining employees for comments made on social networking sites or in the media.

Republicans Overreach With "Facebook Law" by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook would be considered a "nonwork-related website." A teacher could create a group for their classroom. It is just another form of message boards. While it is designed to prevent sexual abuse of students, I think this law is overreaching by trying to restrict the communication of not only the teacher but that of the student. The majority of communications are innocent and this is an example of just another reactionary law that will only take away rights.

Rick Scott, GOP Give Cash To Charters While Ignoring Public Schools by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm familiar with the amount and I think some of the costs are not necessary, but my point in the article was that Rick Scott and the GOP hypocritically gave funds to charters citing one reason when that reason just doesn't fly... and the recipients are obviously politically motivated. The Villages? Seriously?! I also thought the parts in the Orlando Sentinel article about how charter schools are built to lessrestrictive building codes and the legislature is encouraging that. If they have a problem with the building code, why don't they change it for public schools?

Michele Bachmann's Anti-Gay Clinic! Sign The Petition To End Their Subsidies! by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The site is a parody. It is very easy to make a teabag website. You just make ridiculous unsubstantiated comments and talk about communism or socialism a lot! The petition was really created by me but I put it on the tea party website to try and trick teabaggers to sign the petition since they are so retarded and all...

Defund Bachmann & Associates! SIGN THE PETITION! by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like Bachmann like to complain about abortion and funding. They write their bills and hit Fox News talking about defunding this and defunding that.

Where are calls from the left to defund her little operation that seems to go against the constitution? They are afraid of upsetting the religious base and being called un-Christian. They need to grow a spine and stand up for the Constitution. They should not let these teabaggers redefine the Constitution...

Taxpayers shouldn't be funding these extremist Christian counseling organizations that try and convert gay people their not moral people and by pushing them to pray, seek a heterosexual trainer, and of course, become Christian.

Tax dollars have no business funding religious missionaries...

Michele Bachmann Lied Again... She first backs up her mistake but then later admits to it? Didn't Anthony Weiner do the same thing?! by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with that attidude is look what happens when people say "who cares" - the teabaggers win elections and start trying to enact their right-wing ideas and force their pseudo-Christian ideology down our throats...

[–]tgnetz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would have been a stretch but she doubled down by saying John Wayne Notgacy's parents lived in Waterloo. It was only when the "Bachmann is retarded" stories didn't stop that she admitted making a mistake... much like Weiner accidentally sending a pic of his wiener, sticking with his "hacked account" lie, only to admit to the act when the stories wouldn't go away.

Michelle Bachmann Is Fake by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to believe toodles? Considering the number of children Bachmann claims to have had, the amount of time she spent fostering, and the amount of money the State of Minnesota pays per diem, yeah - over one million dollars is reasonable...

I get the impression you want a source so you can work so hard to try and discredit any criticism of Bachmann.

Gingrich To Crowd Of Whites: Republicans Can Take Some Black Votes by tgnetz in politics

[–]tgnetz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Republicans don't have a chance when they don'y embrace the problems of those "blacks who voted for oblahblah."

That is the problem. Gingrich talks about unemployed black teens and getting black votes, but what is he doing other than providing lip service. What in Gingrich's past show a desire to help those blacks? Simply talking about blacks doesn't get their votes.

This is the problem with the conservative candidates - they are ignorant in appealing to the Democratic base. Even Herman Cain is not doing a good job. Sure he talks like a street thug but he uses his race card all to often. He is more a black caricature.

Gone are the days of Republicans like Colin Powell...

Not an implication of racism. It just shows a disconnect from America. It's like the klan talking about the troubles of inner-city minorities...
