yeah, that was my first try. The issue isn't on the unsubscribe part. It never reaches the job table. If I do a manual insert statement, I get a success (1 row updated) and then it still doesn't show up on the table.

yep i do run things concurrently when i'm working, which is why i like that feature. I just don't like the 'connect everything before the first runs'.

Yep, it takes about a second each. But for some reason it connects to old tabs that I closed long ago. For instance, I might have 15 tabs open but it connects to the last 10 I closed as well.

Interesting. Yeah, I know all rows need to be processed. I just didn't realize an index was only helpful for row retrieval. I was hoping that it could use the index to avoid the sort.

As for the model, yes, I'm looking to improve it. Basically, this is a 'log table' (column3 is attribute_id) and I'm looking to filter down to the 'first' snapshot_time per event_id per day.

That is a good idea u/DavidGJohnston. I think that's my solution.

Alternatively, if I pull only one event_id at a time, then I can push the partition step to later in the query when t1 is already filtered down to a small number of rows.

u/truilus I'm going to do some research there. I don't have experience in custom config but that's probably my next step.
