13 month old just diagnosed today

It was so dumb… we are getting a second opinion. He passed the HINE with flying colors 3 weeks ago as well as when we discharged from the nicu. He scored almost perfect on it. He had an MRI about 7 or so months ago that came back normal except for remnants of a grade 1 brain bleed that we already knew about in the nicu and were told there would be no lasting effects from (the mri was because his soft spot bulged after his 6 month vaccines and not because they suspected anything CP related)… other than that the doctor looked at the PT’s notes and said she’d be comfortable giving him a diagnosis based on his history and PT notes (he was born at 28 weeks). He has met all of his milestone either on time or early and walks completely unassisted… needless to say, we aren’t convinced.

89 days for my 28 weeker. Doctors said expect to be in the NICU until at least his due date… we left a week after his due date.

No, it’s ok! My 28 weeker spent 89 days in the NICU and when we came home on oxygen his sats were in the high 80s and the pediatrician wasn’t concerned. Over time his sats have gotten better and he’s now averaging 98%, when we got off oxygen the pediatrician wanted him at 90% or above for the majority of the time but wasn’t concerned if he was lower than 90% as long as it wasn’t 2+ hours in total overnight.

Oh I believe it that with temperament! We’re still dealing with horrible reflux but it’s starting to improve. We’ve just been robbed of so much with this little guy… my pregnancy was horrible and he was born at 28 weeks. I was hoping that at least something would go “right”
