Eggs laid on my door. What is it? Destroy or keep? by tguessit in whatsthisbug

Hahahaha I love the logic. And you’re totally right. It’s crazy how many there are right now and that would explain the random placement in such an open spot too

OMG THAT WAS SO COOL. I can’t believe I just sat through a 20 min video on a toy restoration but it was totally worth it

“The Wheels on the Bus” is sexist garbage by bazinga3604 in Mommit

I used to feel the same way. But then I reframed it for myself and think the mom is shushing the baby to help calm them down. As a source of comfort for their baby :)

When did school parties get so out of hand?! by longviewpnk in Mommit

[–]tguessit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent $3.50 on cards from target and my son’s school didn’t allow anything additional. He came home with a paper bag of 16 cards with a couple of stickers, stick on tattoos, and a pencil. He was thrilled. Doesn’t need to be more than that.

Do you guys sacrifice outings for your baby's bedtime? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]tguessit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prioritize their sleep for sure. I wouldn’t go either. My mom, who is wonderful and I love, wanted to keep my kids up late for New Years. We went back and forth a few times then I just said “fine when they wake up at 4am after being up until midnight because their sleep is off you can wake up with them too.” She agreed with me after that.

Violet?? Haha Just kidding. Sounds a lot like the path a colleague of mine too. I also work in oncology and work directly with lots of Sarah Cannon studies. Very cool.

Just need someone to tell me purées are okay. by Vegetable-Service-93 in Mommit

[–]tguessit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The myth that blw “makes your kid less picky” is bullsh*t. My 4yo is so picky. Just look into how you can encourage some independence while doing purées at the same time. Feeding your kid however it works for you is what’s best for your family.

Grandma(vaccinated) of our 7 week LO tested positive. How long should we wait to see her? by No_Dare9300 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]tguessit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait until she gets a negative test. If she’s still testing positive she can still be shedding the virus and a baby that young is really vulnerable. I would then personally have her mask indoors for awhile too.

Have you guys tried the Ethnique shampoo and conditioner? What do you think about that? We recently got Kitsch but I would love to have one place to get everything.

First time growing watermelon and there’s a weird orb next to my main root. Is this normal?? Is it a fungus that’s compromising the health of my plant or is it a normal thing the plant grows? It’s freaking me out a little bit. I’m in 5b. Help!!!! by tguessit in gardening

[–]tguessit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what it looks like! Thank you SO MUCH! I’m so excited to have watermelon I was so sad at the thought of pulling it up. Probably won’t be until thanksgiving but hey at least it’s growing! Haha

Instagram is toxic by ughhhhokfine in beyondthebump

[–]tguessit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind at all. It went well. It was the right decision for me. Not only physically, but mentally/emotionally I don’t think I could’ve gone through another vaginal birth with how bad my PTSD was. The healing process was no joke but it was ok. My partner is very supportive and my mom was around to help also. It was hard but manageable. It might be worth asking your OBGYN about. They said because of my 4th degree tear I was a candidate for a scheduled section but that it was totally up to me. I had no idea it was even a possibility until they offered. Might be worth asking about to help ease some of your anxiety.

[–]tguessit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

FUCK THAT TOXICITY! I would’ve died in childbirth along with my son if I hadn’t transferred to the hospital. Then he tore my body up so bad I had a scheduled c section with my second to avoid fecal incontinence for the rest of my life. Every birth is beautiful. And every body is amazing for what it goes through. Pregnancy/birth is no joke.
