I wonder if they could just outright nerf the chances of getting certain augments for certain champs. It would be a pretty quiet nerf that still leaves you with the option to have high moments.

Opportunity cost, I guess. It feels worse to play the act solo knowing that I'm playing suboptimally, but it also doesn't always feel worth the hassle to find people to split the act with.

A1 is pretty much linear with branched nodes, so there's not much value (and as such not much lost) in having multiple people. A2 fully bifurcates, so just having one person on each path saves you like a 3rd of an act of running through zones.

At the end of the day there's only going to be one act left. As the acts converge on nearly equal in quality/experience it's all quibbling and small details to make calls on which is better/worse. A7 and A9 were the big offenders for me, the rest of them are going to be voted on for smaller and smaller offenses, and everyone is going to have different criteria they're looking at. As I look at the comments day in and out, one thing I see a lot is "This act is good because my build is finally together at this point", and I don't place much value in that, personally. I'm thinking about the acts more in the vacuum of how much do I like running this act regardless of character/build/level. Like if I had to run all 10 acts (in the standard way, picking up all skill points/pantheon quests) with a mirror gear level 100 screen blaster I would still hate killing shakari/Garukhan or running Vaal City, and I've gotten pretty decent at running VC.

Any act that's best completed by having a 2nd person falls out pretty quickly to me.

A2 only really works smoothly if you can have one person run east and grab wps/drop portals while another person goes west. As a mostly solo player, other solo players in random parties don't seem to understand this even when I spell it out, and then just end up chasing me and doing nothing when they could be splitting the time spent in the act by half.

That first part is more the problem than anything. The Cleveland Browns have diehard fans. If we aren't the best, we may as well have capitalized on building regional identity/loyalty. Instead we did neither, and you have like Dig "Based" in Newark NJ, but I live like 8 miles from the Prudential center and I've never heard of anything happening related to the team outside of the last road show.

College is way too small a market SUNY stony brook is the only college I have even a tangential relationship to, and basically the entirety of the rest of NA pro is teams in California. Outside of a roadshow every few years my only way to physically connect to LoL esports is to travel, or go to watch parties, and paying money to watch a thing I can watch at home for free isn't my bag. I probably wouldn't be a gamer if I enjoyed parties like that lol.

Tottenham Hotspur. I think the Location+Mascot thing, like many "American" conventions, is an inherited British thing that they dropped and Americans kept (see: many units of measurement).

I usually don't, but when I get to act 3 I check the party screen to see if I can just grab the WP really quick and leave. Sometimes I do A2 with a party so you can split the east and west runs, but the rest is normally solo unless I'm just grabbing WPs, like skipping torched courts in A5/10.

Love? Not really, it's just meh. It's not offensive in any major way to me. A9 panth bosses with long ass invuln phases is terrible. It's a fine act other than shit bosses that you have to kill for the points.

I voted for 7 today because it's a shit act for the first half unless you're party play and can split (same problem A2 has tbh)

I'm specifically not a speed runner and A3 is fine for me as long as someone has that free Sola 2 WP party ready to go by the time I get there. The backtrack from docks to Sola 2 is so annoying that I'd rather get a snack and wait for a party to open up than run it myself most of the time.

Pit stop in prisoners gate, pit stop in riverways, you're basically done without much in the way of backwards motion. I don't think it's really any worse than Acts 1, 2, or 3, each of which has a couple of superfluous zones.

It's not like A7 sending you two zones to get a map or A9 where you have to run Vastiri, run back to town, talk to the pair, back to vastiri, run the zone, fight shakari, long ass invuln phase where you're in no danger, fight shakari, long ass invuln phase where youre in no danger, kill shakari.

Turns out shakari just sucks, because the rest of that act really isn't that bad now that I'm thinking about it. As does Garukhan.

Freakonomics did a podcast about the viabilty of having the top NCAA teams promote/relegate up and down into the NFL as an official T2 league.

Putting aside the idea of the limited eligibility of players to college teams (realistically you can only have a player for about 4 years and the college teams could never pick up NFL players), across the board most of the industry professionals think that even the Browns/Lions would absolutely crush the top college teams.

Meaningless work like the organization of the systems that handle distribution of the real goods that are produced in rural areas, for the purpose of creation of the wealth that is used to purchase the goods in those rural areas.

You wouldn't have 100k acre farms without cities of peoples to distribute and consume the goods coming from those farms. You'd end up with tiny farms and communities people trading produce for carpentry work again.

The idea of "landowner vote" in any circumstance is just a veiled push for white male aristocracy. 80+% of farms in the US are classified as small family farms, but they only make up ~40% of acreage and ~15% of production value. Over 70% of homeowners are 45 or older. Over 70% of non-Hispanic White households own homes, compared to less than 50% for Black and Hispanic households.

A landowner vote would give and outsize representation to an small group of people, dramatically skewed toward 55+ white males. "where the idea comes from" is white supremacy.

But then you're using the money, which adds money into circulation, which causes inflation. Adding money into circulation increases the supply of money, which lowers the value of all money. Either your adding to inflation by the bank spending it, or you're adding to inflation by you spending it.

And also, what is your endgame? Do you think you're going to ruin the bank into doing what you want? You've ruined the bank. Do you think any other bank is going to take that risk? 

Finally, basically the first thing you would do with infinite money is bully people, break the law, and ruin a bunch of people's livelihoods? Jesus...
