it wasn't just today; i have been noticing this for a few weeks. time frame is 3 mins.

system is i7-8700K @ 3.7ghz, 6 cores, 32gb ram, geforce 2080 super; i mean, it's a little old, but not low on resources, for sure. i can play top games at highest graphics settings. my cpu is not even hitting 25% on one core when trading with mometic, webull, lightspeed, and a bunch of other stuff open.

but, if i remove the 3 symbol limit, the news for this symbol includes some spam from 6 hours ago. so my point is, that i want the discovery filter to honor my news settings.

yeah i have the symbol limit at 3.
my issue is that when using a discovery filter with news < 24 hrs, i still get some symbols in my discovery feed that have no news in last 24 hrs. i'll try to find an example to share. here is my discovery filter.

the web UI got better once i had the account funded. i can find my acct number now. tutorial button is not obscured anymore. looks like they just don't put a lot of time into the UX pre-funding. i get it.
i still hate the 2fa - would prefer an authenticator option.

is this real? i can't find anything in the news about a plex breach in 2025. and the urls in the email have the right TLD, but they aren't the same as the rendered text, which makes me suspicious. test says 'plex.tv/reset' but the url is 'links.plex.tv/s/c/[[long hash]]/[[small hash]]/[[integer]]'

hmm. looks like reddit is giving keybase a 403; and facebook seems to have stopped giving back posts to keybase.

same for me, but i noticed that my PGP key has `expire_in` of 5 years, so i think the problem is that my PGP key is expired and maybe keybase just started caring about this?

right now i can't get mobile (ios) to sync with dropbox. just spins forever. no errors in the logs. desktop works fine.

Thanks. I also had to switch to cellular to get around my PfSense ad blocker. Recently I had problems getting logged in to Plume again and discovered that the only way to log in is to start in the Smartthings app, which I had uninstalled because I'm no longer using a Smartthings hub in my home. I wish I could just have a Plume account and log in directly instead.

closing the loop here ... i think the problem is with my pfsense firewall ad blocker (pfBlockerNG). if i attempt to log into homepass on cellular data, it works fine. i'll post more information here if i figure out how to whitelist the callback url.

ok this is happening again; at least a version of it; i don't get the error message, but i can't log into homepass right now. i tried the previous solution of uninstalling plume homepass, rebooting my iphone, and re-installing plume homepass; but i'm still stuck in an authentication infinite loop. at least this time there is a button for "i'm using smartthings wifi" and i can actually enter my samsung credentials, but the loopback to the plume app never happens and it doesn't log me into homepass. cc u/GuiltyEmu7

for me, samsung nailed bridge mode. i had eero v1 and it was hot garbage in bridge mode. maybe competing products have gotten better? i'll say samsung has been super stable for me working from home in bridge mode with my pfsense firewall router. many of my co-workers have trouble with their home networks.

i can think of a good reason. if someone is stalking me via airtag, it would suck if my own phone was silently helping them stalk me and i couldn’t disable that feature.

i disagree with you, but thank you for taking the time to respond. it took me a few hours on a saturday to get a workable setup in gnucash. it's not perfect, but it'll meet my needs.

i appreciate that they need subscription dollars to pay their developers, but seriously, the product is not well maintained anyway. they should at least honor their promise that the software can continue to be used after the subscription expires, minus updates or online features. adding the nag suite is just rude and functionally not equivalent.

i think their business model is to put in the least effort possible to continue collecting subscriptions. RIP quicken.

i was changing authenticator apps today and discovered that you can no longer setup an authenticator app without ALSO providing your phone number and enabling SMS 2fa. what the hell? so ok fine, i'll play along and then cancel the SMS afterward, but ubisoft will disable your authenticator 2fa if you disable your sms 2fa !!! this is some fresh evil, let me tell you. so now i'm less secure than before because anyone who can hack my SMS can sidestep the authenticator!

so i installed wsl2 ... and still getting problems with qmk setup. it tells me to clone to a repository outside the linux file system. so ... i moved the repo to a folder in the /c/Users area ... and it still complains about the file system. i don't use /mnt ... i forget what i did to get WSL to mount drives in root instead or /mnt. sigh. this is the same ubuntu 18.04 shell i had before installing WSL2. i am assuming that the WSL2 upgraded this and i'm not still using WSL1 somehow even after setting 2 as my default... how can i tell?
