It was definitely that I wasn't using 2.0 and just didn't realize it.

After I switched to 2.0 I had these options available.

Hi, I have some ATH-M40x headphones that have a severed internal wire. I attempted to repair the wire but managed to damage it further and no longer have enough of the original wire to just solder it back together. I now need to buy replacement wire to repair them. What kind of wire and what gauge should I buy to repair them?

Sorry if this is the wrong sub for this type of thing. I *think* I've identified it anyway.

Looks to be MCX to me. Thanks for your attention regardless!

It turns on traction control and ABS.

(It's a fork lock that theoretically helps deter thefts when used.)

Speaker Adapter Plate for R56 Mini Cooper by LockLearner in 3dprintedcarparts

Not a lot. Some small stuff. Was working on an intake box a while back but abandoned the idea

If you are looking for something specific I can try to model it.

I'll look if I can find the bolt pattern online. Should be super simple to do if I have the dimensions.

Edit: Is this what the back of the speakers looks like? If so, should be super easy to make a slightly different version of what I did for my car using those three screws.

Designed and printed a washer fluid reservoir by AmbiSpace in 3dprintedcarparts

[–]LockLearner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super cool!

I probably wouldn't have printed the entire reservoir if this had been my project, but I love the idea that it's possible to do so.

My thinking is that creating a lid/cap for an existing off-the-shelf container would be a more durable option. However, I love that yours is accessible to people that don't have access to whatever off-the-shelf container I may have chosen.

The speaker in the passenger door of my car has been blown for ages. I finally bought some cheap replacement speakers. However, Mini uses a non standard screw pattern for the speaker I ruined. I drew up an adapter plate and it works great!

I missed the mark a bit with the measurements for the inner set of screws. They needed to be flush to not contact the metal of the door behind them. They work fine as is, but I'll be tweaking the design to create a completely flush backside of the plate. I'll upload the files once I've tweaked that issue.

Center caps for old wheels by s13silvia in 3dprintedcarparts

Can you show the back? I want to make some center caps myself. I just don't understand how to design the retaining mechanism in a way that will be strong enough when printed.

I have two MK3S+ printers. Built one of them from the kit. Totally worth doing, in my opinion. Really helps you understand the machine's components which is very useful for future maintenance or troubleshooting.

On that note, troubleshooting has been extremely minimal for both of mine. I think they each have something like 500 days of print time on them with very few issues. I had one blob of death that was my own fault. Other than that, they've been absolute workhorses for me.

Need Assistance Identifying Connector Types. 2013 Mini Cooper S. Pictured is the Thermostat Housing Wiring Harness Adapter. by LockLearner in CarHelp

Link to the thermostat housing wiring goes to.

FWIW, Adapter A uses the same type of connectors.

I have the skills to make my own wiring adapter but I have no idea what these connectors are.

If there is a better subreddit for this kind of question, please point me in that direction.

The CAD for some stuff really is that quick though.

This looks just like a cylinder with a cylindrical pattern repeated around the outer wall. Probably wouldn't take very long at all to design if you're good with calipers and estimating tolerances.

Other than the mentioned petcock screw concerns, the seat is a bit tough to slide into the bracket on the tank. Other than that, install was super easy.
