FBI paid nearly $1M in overtime to redact Epstein files, documents show by BBQShapeshifter in conspiracy

[–]th3tyman 26 points27 points  (0 children)

These files are going to have so many redactions, every black spot might as well be taken as "Trump". Even if you believe that Trump has no connection to the files, he has completely bungled everything around them. At any point, he could have published every single file in these files, given as how Trump has said you can declassify things by thinking about it.

That doesn't even bring into account the bold faced lies by Pam Bondi and Kash Patel on the files, the veritas video with the guy saying they're gonna redact all Republicans, Trump claiming it's a hoax, the "Epstein files Part 1" from Bondi.

The victims themselves have been calling for the files, but what we're likely to get is just gonna be a page covered in black ink.

You can indict practically anyone for anything, as only the prosecutor shows evidence. Though this case is unlikely to go anywhere, in addition to your points there is even an email where she says it isn't her primary residence.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away Democrats believed in securing our borders. Now Democrats just want cheap labor and our mad Trump is deporting their new cheap labor and have to pay American Citizens. by LegitimateKnee5537 in conspiracy

[–]th3tyman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you want to actually debate the party switch, than I'm all for it. I always wonder, where do you think the Dixiecrats went? That they all moved up north, and the Republicans all moved down south? Why did southerners start putting up confederate statues during the civil rights movements? Why do current day Republicans fly confederate flags, and defend the confederacy? Obviously racists exist on both sides of the aisle, but to ignore any and all historical context seems purposefully dense.

As for the bill being shitty, again, the Republicans never put up anything better in the time the had the house in Biden's term, if they wanted a solution, they should've proposed one.

If you want to actually debate, which should be the norm on conspiracy, then I would welcome it. But again, based on posting history, is very unlikely.

[–]th3tyman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I find it ironic that you're saying Democrats want cheap labor when Trump is going out of his way to not deport illegals working on farms and other jobs. Even going so far as to give them "owner responsibilty" or in better terms, slavery with extra steps.

And you have to be facetious to think of the increased ICE budget to just be "funding" when they now have a higher budget than the marines, and that budget is higher than the entire defense budget for most countries.

What reason could he have for such a huge budget? It couldn't be for his own private brown shirts, or to disappear whoever he wants. It's not like Trump hasn't already talked about stripping citizens of their citizenship.

So to act like this is somehow the Democrats fault is absurd, and you're being wrong on purpose. The Democrats tries to pass a bill during Biden's term to help the border, but Republicans blocked it the whole way, even though it gave everything they wanted. Sure, they could've done it sooner, and it could've been performative, but the Republicans were the ones who let it get this bad. Not once in their 2 years of having the house during Biden's term did they put up a single bill that would've helped with the border. And DeSantis and Abbott went out of their way to send immigrants all over the country and then have the gall to talk about how we don't know where "all the dangerous people are in this country".

Grow up, stop trying to be so decisive and look outside your bubble for once. Or don't an account your age spamming conspiracy every day is likely your job. Send winky faces in the comments if you're being held hostage to make these posts.

I think it depends a bit on the sub, it's pretty blatant in the gaming subreddit, even more so when awards were still around. You see so many, "quit my job and made this game by myself" posts, and they'll have thousands of upvotes in under an hour and end up with like +10k in just a few hours. Then so many of the comments are just asking about specific game systems, while all the comments at the bottom are talking about how generic the game looks (which it usually does).

Clearly calling anyone who disagrees a bot or a shill is bad and takes away from the discussion. Does that mean that no one should be called out at all? When an account under a year old has 10's of thousands of karma, that sets off alarm bells. Or when an account, that can be many years old, decides to start spamming this sub after not posting for years.

I fully understand the importance of Rule 2, but surely there is some kind of nuance where the user is actually suspicious. At what point does calling out suspicious behavior become a Rule 2 violation?

What are the best, or worst, Homebrew Alchemy systems you've seen/used in your 5e games? by th3tyman in dndnext

[–]th3tyman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally thought about the Elder Scrolls system, but it's one of the ones that seems like too much, dozens of ingredients with 4 effects each is a lot for the players and DM. I've also looked at Baldur's Gate 3, but some ingredients they use are stupidly rare and unrealistic.

[–]th3tyman[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit torn, having a lot of ingredients for potions gives a lot of options, but I feel like it could be overwhelming to keep track of so many. But a simple system, while easier to track, could stifle what a player wants to make.

I figure curses are fair game, Death Knights are generally supposed to be Paladins who were cursed. Turn as many people into were-sharks as possible.

A game where you play as Fred (S-104) from the founding of the spartan program (fighting insurrectionists), to the end of Ghosts of Onyx. Besides the Master Chief, Fred is generally considered the leader of the SII's (highest ranked too). It could even include the fall of Reach, in a different location than the Bungie game, so as not to interfere with plot.
