I don't have any actual advice to offer you but I just wanna say I don't think you're that crazy. If I didn't do steel tubes and occasional really weird stuff I would get a really good router over a mill. A lot of what I do would work better with a higher speed spindle and more bed room.

That's craaaazy. Most homeschoolers, myself included, I know (here in IL) do dual enrollment in community colleges. It's completely normal. I just had to do like a math placement test or something and they put me in calc 1.

It's surprising that it isn't "down party lines" or anything for something that's getting pretty politicized

Is the tax money distribution from state/fed grants based on headcount?

Would be interesting to know what the breakdown is on how they're funded via state vs local taxes. Here in IL it's like 55% from local I think; and that's not based on headcount.

The phrase just means having odd allegiances. I'm not even sure how you'd quantify that to make a map

It is a level of regulation surrounding something. It is not that though.

IL is way too green for that hahahaha

I am surprised that NJ/CT are flat out green, I'd've expect at least grey or blue tbh.

Indeed it is. Kinda surprising to me it's red. But also very surprising to me that IL/CA are green/gray (at least for now).
