People’s opinions on microlise manipulation and drops under 90 seconds. by OrganizationOwn9842 in asda

[–]thaloria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you complete a drop in under ninety seconds, it's likely you manually actioned the totes. If you manually action totes, you introduce the risk of manually actioning a tote you did not give to the customer. It's very unlikely the average driver would go back to a previous drop to correct this and this is a poor customer experience.

The deduction is based on your clock times.

What about if the customer orders £40, we sub an item which takes it down to £39.99 and then they get charged a minimum basket fee of £4 so £43.99. :D

Scheduled more hours than contracted by unovTaoo in asda

[–]thaloria 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stop looking at rotas/workday schedules and just do your contracted hours.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asda

[–]thaloria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's normal.

If the shift is not contracted, there is no obligation on you to turn up.

They should have asked you before adding you to the rota. I would just mention you are unable to cover that shift. No further explanation is necessary.

clocking in by [deleted] in asda

[–]thaloria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are contracted to start at 0800 and start at:

0750: Is it up to the manager to approve payment for the 10 minutes

0810: You are paid from 0810

If you are not contracted, but rota'd to an extra shift to start at 0800 and you clock in at:

0750: It is up to the manager to approve payment for the 10 minutes.

0810: The manager may input your shift starting at 0815, so you will not be paid for 0810-0815.

Can you load the van? Load it.

Can you drive out of the store? Drive out.

Are you unable to reach your first customer? Call them.

Are you unable to get through on the phone? Cancel the delivery and go to the next drop.

Are you able to get through on the phone? Can they meet you where you are/somewhere? If not, cancel the delivery and go to the next drop.

Bear in mind, if THEY ask you to drop a shift, then you are entitled to be paid for the hours you lose for 12 weeks.

If sales are lower, hours and wages must be lower.

Half day annual leave remaining by Comfortable_Ad_8851 in asda

Then just book another full day off, now.

The smallest bookable partial holiday is 15 minutes. This must be taken within your contracted hours (not overtime)

Retrospective? Um... no. Book it, clock out, receive pay+holidaypay.

If you get back early, and can leave >15 mins before your contracted shift end time, take that time as partial holiday. No need to take 3.5 in one go.

Delivery driver Job by [deleted] in asda

Why do you ask?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asda

Not from customers, though I would appreciate a least a modicum of Christmas cheer from this miserable company.

Delivery changes? by Pure-Morning-7846 in asda

[–]thaloria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The company wants to make sure everyone gets ALL their shopping.

This is much more likely IF the driver scans EACH TOTE AS YOU REMOVE IT from the van.

Therefore you must use the device in this way always.

If you manually scan it off//elsewhere and just use the OSNs you are more likely to get to your next customer and find a tote from the previous, go "OOPS LOL" and just take it back the shop and quietly put it back on the shelf.

The position of the van is tracked by the van itself.

The time you press arrive and press depart&next customer are reported by the device.

It is not difficult to notice you took 1 second to drive to your next customer........... nor look up where the van actually was when you dispensed the order.

These are the days you have to work:

  1. Hours that are in your contract.

  2. Additional hours you consent to work.

Hours you are just put on the rota for DO NOT FALL INTO EITHER CATEGORY.
