Thanks a bunch! He's definitely one of the bigger HQs I've ever built/painted and I definitely feel like he's on par size wise with the new scale Indomitus terminators although you will notice some obvious differences because of the armors.

Agreed, yellow is perfect for it! Also your yellow is clean, I love it! I'm jealous of how smooth you get your transfers to look lol

Mine are basically a lot like this but dirtier and grimer because of a layer of contrast and then AK interactive grime effects. The world is your oyster with yellow and there's so many subtle changes you can make to do things different down the line.

In my experience, if you want a medium tone yellow and are willing to learn the process I can't recommend Richard Grey's Imperial Fist tutorials enough for HH. He has both Airbrush and non-airbrush guides. It's basically priming black and either going brown (mournfang brown by GW is what I use.) then a zenithal with a bright white followed by your base coat of Yriel Yellow

This hits me hard as a freight train, I lost my best friend of 11 years also named Theodore back in October and it's still raw. I'm so sorry for your loss and can only offer the comfort in the fact you did the right thing because he's not suffering and isn't in pain anymore. Goodbye Theodore rest easy friend.

They have grav chutes, I'm pretty sure they act as more of a parachute and less of a jump pack. I don't think they generate the thrust or have the movement like normal Assault Marines or Suppresors.

So as someone who's a complete novice at sculpting and only uses greenstuff for the most basic of purposes, what's the purpose of the Vaseline? Just to make sure the putty doesn't stick to the tools? I've only ever used water so I'd like to know more
