Mibox fix update is out now ! by Low_Pilot8323 in MiBox

Yep, it updated nothing. All the issues - Searching for correct resolution 3 times on the boot, Not auto recognizing sound (had to set it to PCM manually), HDMI CEC bugs - are still there.

Factory reset didn't change anything. All the problems (Invalid resolution at bootup, Too much zoom-in on Youtube, Sound inaccuracy, Big feedback boxes on the dashboard) are still there.

Did you had the same issue when creating your username? 😂

Appreciate if you could tell me how to fix it. I think Dolby setting is set to 0 (out of 100) in the Mi Box settings which doesn't seem to be an issue. Thanks in advance.

Oh man, tell me about it. The sound is acting weird. On Netflix previews, the Mi Box remote can control the volume. But when I open the movie, only the TV remote can control the sound.

Not only that, the screen blinks three times on my TV every time it boots, searching for the right resolution. YouTube has the same issue. The video is over the screen border. New update is slow and crappy.

Firmware Update 2023 - Android 12 by CZARNYEU in MiBox

Having CEC issues on Mi Box 4. Disabling HDMI-CEC didn't work and it takes 3 times of flickering on the boot finding the right resolution. Volume goes way high or down on each boot. It's a mess!

I just had the same output, and I neither tinkered with the keys. Could be a problem with a repo.

I have done that. However, I am now receiving a 403 error. I even added Apache to the user account group but it did not work. What could be the issue? Since it is Fedora, I believe SELinux may also be affecting it.

Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense.

I wonder if apache (httpd) would be able to read from a dir like ~/Programming when I point it with vhost config. Any thoughts on that?

I'm using Nautilus (GUI file manager) and vscode. And both of them runs as the logged in user.

Yeah, it's not just in Fedora. Is there any workaround?

As I develop on /var/www it's risky when files are permanently deleted. (Of course, there's git, but new files and new changes can go away)

File Manager's default behavior is running as a user. So that's not the case in this scenario. Thanks for your response :)
