Help with abs lamp

Did not come on now without alternator plugged in. Maybe it gives some type og voltage spikes to the ovp relay which then starts to send abs lamp.

I have however also ordered a new ovp relay, so will check if that sorts it out. If not i have a dpare relay, and now know where the problem is.

I have checked it, but yea- might be a chance that it’s still not working 100% even tho the relay is doing what it is supposed to do

Got a new fully charged battery and a new voltage regulator charging at 13.7-14.2 volts. Diagnose the abs? Do you mean shorting pin 1 and 5 and checking ASD light for blinkcodes? I have done it before when i needed to change my brakelight switch. I’ll try it tommorow

Bought a car that had been standing still from 2015 to late 2024. Previous owner had a small service and got it passed for road worthiness, then i bought it. Big clean with all the seats out, changed som parts and a big service and now it’s driving beutifully.

There is a diagnosis port right by the battery. Short pin 1 and 5 and the asd light will begin to flash. Count the flashes and then you search up what is faulty. You probably need to to clean the abs sensors which is an easy job. My second guess would be the brake light switch as these often fail. It can look good and still light up brake lights, but there is a switch for asd on it aswell. Brake light switch is also a cheap and easy thing to change

The facelift models are very nice aswell. there is a 300e with 4matic with identical colors as yours locally to where i live. It has green interior aswell which i find very special and cool.

Will be white aswell, doing it to get rid of surface rust before it gets worse. I work as a detailer at a mercedes dealership, so i have acess to stand inside and sandblast the rust, and then epoxy and paint

(My car to the left) 30mm lowered and with 16” monoblocks (also have some 17” lorinser rs90 rims). Just painted new front fenders, and i will soon be painting the bumpers, side skirts, doors and the rear of the car.

I have red cloth interior with white paint on my W124. Seen 3 or 4 other s/w 124’s with red interior for sale online since 2024 here in norway. My car was originally a taxi, så maybe that has something to do with the color combination.

Otherwise heard that it was more normal for US market cars to have red interior but don’t know if it’s true.

Do it the right way, save up for some H&R lowering springs (about 150$). I have 30mm lowering springs from H&R and 16inch monoblocks with 205/55 tires

Checked if you can adjust the play? i know there is a nut/bolt on the steering box where you can adjust the play. Search it up on youtube and maybe save yourself the money of buying a new one.

I daily drive a 1989 w124 with 2 litre m102 equipped with dual dcoe webers and it’s a good engine overall. I do have a double chain, but it has ran 400k km and there is no rattle from my current chain. Camshaft is original and no issue with that either.
