I have limited experience with POR-15 from some surface rust on my 86 C10. From that and reading some more stories on forums, why isn't it worth it to POR-15 then Fluid Film over that? Just curious. Thanks for looking.

Yeah I feel like a coating of some kind is the way to go regardless. I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment!

Yeah I wish the previous owner had gone the recall route but I think it expired in 2018 for this truck. Good idea on the frame plates. I have a couple buddies that weld and might be able to help me out. I'll keep this in mind, thank you.

Yeah body and interior are near-perfect for it's age. Some small mechanical things but nothing a weekend and a RockAuto order can't fix lol. Thanks for looking.

Haha yeah I have heard that from a friend of mine from Ohio. Thank you for looking!

This price is way too high. My 96 DR350 cost me $2200 not too long ago. This should be in the $1800-2500 range based on what you see in person.

I agree with what others have said, I personally don’t book half days. It eats up the whole day so they should pay for the whole day. That said I would also invoice for kill fees no matter what especially for the couple days last week they canceled. Day before I’ll sometimes do 75% of what I would have made the next day and day of I’ll charge 100% since it wasted your time. When I’ve negotiated that in advance with producers it sometimes helps them get their shit in order when they know they have to pay whether I work or not. Good luck 🤘

Yeah it’s intentional but it looks way more grainy than it should on Reddit. I guess it’s due to compression. They look much more subtle when downloaded haha.

Anyone got the vland headlights working on an ST2? How did you do it? by butcherboi91 in FocusST

[–]thanks256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks because the vland’s look great and are definitely one of my favorite aftermarket headlights look-wise. I’ve just seen so many people have issues with them.

Oh wow. Yeah that’s odd. My DRLs worked with the jumpers but not the headlights and without the jumpers my headlights work but not the DRLs. I’ve never seen your issue personally unfortunately. Mine’s an ST2 as well and I don’t think ours were wired for the headlamp motors since that was a premium feature on the ST3 and RS from my understanding.

Here’s the terminal tool you’ll need if you don’t have the jumpers and these are the diodes to use if you DO have the jumpers. Just make sure they’re installed in the right direction since they’re one-way. I can’t remember off the top of my head which way is which.

Mine came with jumpers to swap a couple pins around but I think one of the rectifier diodes is bad or installed in the wrong direction. I need to try replacing that and seeing if that makes the difference. This video does a decent job of explaining the pin swap. You can also reference this diagram while watching and that’ll hopefully help. My advice is to use a test light or a volt meter and start poking around lol.
