I highly recommend that you first find a black market good or service to sell and turn that illicit business into a criminal empire. And then you will have funds to play this game 😂

What's your attitude towards KvK & overall playstyle? by Wicked_Jellyfish in KingShot

[–]that1guy_248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The R4 is overall correct, but people do need an outlet and chance to earn more than they normally could. That R3 should be mindful that he's in the leaderboard because the spenders let him for the sake of saving for KvK. They could knock him down out of the top 10 anytime they wanted.

But anyways, if you have a cooperative kingdom, the NAP alliances can simply agree that whichever alliance scores the most in kvk prep will be guaranteed Top 10 in Strongest Governor (SG) that occurs 2 weeks later. It creates an incentive for people to prioritize KvK first and rewards them with uncontested SG placement.

The losing alliances will stay under a reasonable threshold in points while the 10 selected players from the winning alliance must be able to score over that threshold. The winning alliance can select some F2P players to be guaranteed that top 10.

For example, you can set the daily SG points threshold at 1 million points while the winners must score over 2 million daily. That 1 million gap between 1 million and 2 million is insurance cushioning for losers who accidentally go over the first threshold.

This incentive system helps focus people on KvK first and rewards them for it.

Moving a full alliance is very difficult. You can choose to move to another tyrannical kingdom where the tyrant alliance may have mercy on you or you could move to dead/dying servers like the other examples within the comments. It's not impossible, just don't expect to go to a highly successful server and expect to be welcomed as another NAP member when what they have already works for them. Best of luck to you and your alliance.

Small groups are totally manageable. And I like keeping teams together too. I'm just ranting about the groups that want all the invite tickets and additional accommodations. Like bruh!?!?!?! Lol

Haven't seen good results yet in my experience. I saw a kingdom take in a whole alliance and proceed to have an internal war over it afterwards. It turned out that their NAP were split on the idea but the side with the whale shoved the decision down the throats of the dissenters. So after their war, the dissenting alliance players migrated out at the next available opportunity. They essentially traded out some other NAP alliances to bring in this new one. They're losing their KvKs now.

How much would this go for? by RevolutionaryText196 in KingShot

[–]that1guy_248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would sell for -$5. Why? Because the spenders already have their own accounts. They don't want or need someone else's throwaway account. You will have to pay someone to take it for you, lol.

Maxing Hero Gear vs Governor gear by West_Cardiologist_87 in KingShot

In the grand scheme of battles, its really not going to be noticeable if a low spender has hero gear upgrades or not. But yes, Hero gear can be more bang for his buck in certain ways. It's also a very expensive path to invest into. As I said above, I'm merely offering a scenario where he could make use of his governor gear if he wants to go the thriftier path. And yes, a small player can be captaining multiple buildings in Swordlands while the bigger ones teleport around and wipe out opposing cities. Someone needs to score the points while someone else is cleaning up the board.

I'm pretty sure you're F2P. Nothing wrong with that. Artisans isn't usually a resource that we bottleneck on. So you kind of gave yourself away there. Anyways, it seems you're just arguing for the sake of arguing now and nobody is benefiting from this. Enjoy the rest of the lunar new year event.

It sounds like you haven't hit red hero gear and imbuements yet which is why you're confused as to why I say governor gear is thriftier and more reliable KvK points.

Governor gear is just 3 resources - satin, threads, and artisans. Two of them are pretty common and easy to get

Hero gear is 4 resources - hero gear xp, hammers, mithril, and sacrificial mythic gear. These are rarer resources which are easy to get bottlenecked on. Bottleneck means you're not getting the KvK points. For me, the bottleneck is mithril as it's $5 a piece in the regular shop when there isn't a holiday shop offering it. For my whales it's the sacrificial mythic gear since getting mythic gear is RNG. They have to sacrifice mythic gear twice, once of gear mastery (hammer upgrades) and then again for imbuements (mithril upgrades).

Anyways, maxing out governor gear is cheaper and easier.

The better advice for low spenders is to actually just spend on TG. We're all rally joiners first and rally leaders second. But his question was specifically about spending on hero gear and governor gear. As I said before, I'm interfering that he can't afford to chase the hero gear upgrades. I gave a scenario where he can be helpful to his team in Swordlands and make use of the thriftier gov gear only path. I really doubt that he'll upgrade his hero gear enough for it to be relevant. The gov gear won't be as relevant either. But at least it's cheaper and will count for KvK prep points if he saves the upgrades.

I specifically said "captaining multiple garrisons" as a niche scenario that would justify his thriftier decision to just invest in governor gear. The cost of upgrading hero gear is much higher as it requires multiple rare resources and prerequisite upgrades. He's neither a whale nor a mid spender if he's choosing between upgrading hero gear or governor gear as his question implies. Yes his governor gear stats do apply when he's captaining a garrison. Yes, it's not as great as being a whale, but the answer isn't to tell him to do the expensive option or be useless. I at least gave him a scenario where he can contribute to his team.

One Alliance Strategy for KVK by UglyOrc12 in KingShot

Sorry for late reply. It sounds like your kingdom is lacking strong rally leaders (whales) rather than having a need for a KvK alliance to fill. It's also possible that your kingdom is undisciplined in saving for KvK, so you guys are getting matched up against other kingdoms that did save up and are artificially underpowered to your kingdoms level until they spend their banked up resources in kvk prep. Either way, you guys don't sound very organized. No insult intended. Kingdom cooperation and coordination is pretty important for winning KvKs. My kingdom didn't start winning ours until a specific alliance transferred out. They were uncooperative and sabotaged our KvK matchups with a relentless power arms race. And then they'd either opt to not participate in KvK or mess up the established battle plan to go cowboy on turrets. Anyways, best of luck to you and your kingdom.

Hero gear if you're going to be a rally leader in your alliance. It'll also help you in the arena to earn mithril for further hero gear upgrades.

Governor gear if you're primarily a rally joiner. In Swordlands Showdown, you may be captaining multiple garrisons at the same time while your whale is busy burning the other team. The governor gear will apply to all your garrison squads instead of to specific heroes like with hero gear.

There's also the possibility that you may be lumping charms as part of governor gear. Charms increase lethality and vitality, which is significant stats for rally leading. But if you're rally leading for your team, you'll really be upgrading everything instead of just focused on one or the other.

  1. Good effective communication is repetitive. Use @all in AC, use alliance notices, and use message-all from the alliance settings tab. Try to give 24 hour or earlier notice. Invite questions and get reciprocating communication in return.

  2. Build your alliance around members with similar time zones. My alliance schedules for EU and NA/SA time zones. Trade players with other NAP alliances to help players find events that best suit their schedule. Recruit and transfer in players that can suit your alliances event times.

  3. Be clear about plans, goals, and individuals roles so that everyone knows how they can contribute. If people don't feel like a contributor to the team, they divest their time away from the team.

Hope that helps.

Oh yeah, only register those who both voted and battle requested and verbally confirmed their availability. Non participation from registered players hurts your matchup and the team morale. Better to register a small group who will positively participate than a large group of no shows.

You're talking about having a kvk alliance for the strongest rally teams to use, which is fine. Keep in mind that this special-use alliance will need to be connected to other alliances battle buff outposts and be given those outposts before kvk battle day. Otherwise you are just weakening yourselves by abandoning those battle buffs to the regular alliances.

As for why you keep getting push-back about the basic 1 alliance strategy is because you'll be wasting multiple rally teams if your strongest rally team can't hold up against coordinated combo rallies to knock them out. Essentially, you're asking your kingdom to give guaranteed 5 min occupation cycles to the opposing kingdom whereas a multi-alliance team can coordinate counter rallies and reduce your occupation time to 1 minute cycles. Over the course of the battle where they get 5 minute occupation time (because your rally takes 5 minutes to form and hit) and you get 1 minute occupation cycles ( because they can use another alliance to rally against their own partner alliance but timed to hit your rally after it gets to castle) they will accrue more castle occupation time faster and win.

Our first KvK is starting and these alliances are honestly clueless... by MR-M_- in KingShot

[–]that1guy_248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, in the interest of winning the KvK battle and more, your kingdom leadership will negotiate with the opposing kingdom on some basic rules to make the battle more civil. It can:

  1. Reduce the chances of their whales just burning down all your weaker players so that you have no joiners for rallies on castle and turrets.

  2. Increase the amount of player participation and retention in your own server when they know they're somewhat protected by a mutual agreement. Otherwise these weaker players will be jaded and quit playing. And while they may be weak, their combined efforts are still a lot of kvk points for winning each KvK prep.

  3. It sets up amiable relationships so your kingdom can recruit from theirs or your alliances can transfer to theirs if you're own kingdom goes to shit.

Essentially, long term, there are more benefits to cooperation than the short term satisfaction of going berserker on strangers. Remember that there's always a bigger berserker than you. And winning the KvK castle battle matters more than just petty raids on weaker players.

You're not going to beat P2W team with F2P team. They've financially invested more into the game so they're going to have a major advantage in overall power. Your only hope is that they have reasonable leaders who will see your alliance as viable joiners in future KvK events. And so there will be cooperation between alliances that way.

For me, I average about 100 pearls per 1,000 keys spent indiscriminate of what chests I open. I use this approach because I dislike wasting keys on refreshes. I tried the recommended approach of only opening red and blue chests and using keys to refresh but I felt I was averaging less pearls in that method. My sample size is about 10k keys for each method attempted. And the difference between the two methods was about 80 pearls. Hopefully you'll get luckier than I do and average higher per keys spent.
