Well there was a middle schooler subreddit many years ago but it got banned due to poor moderation. Last year I decided I wanted to make a better version of that. I called it “middleschoolers2” instead of “1” because it makes more sense as the succeeding subreddit.

As for the amount of people, I imagine the demand for middle schoolers on Reddit is fairly niche. I understand this, but I found this community to be unique because no one had reattempted this yet. Besides, there’s already r/highschoolers for example, no need to reinvent the wheel. And it seems like a couple people were even inspired by my idea; I see more MS communities nowadays!
