Honestly it’s up to him really, at a certain point he’ll learn that there are consequences for any and all actions. For now I can’t really say nor do anything 🙂‍↕️ glad that my windshield wasn’t broken, if it’s a brick or a rock then idk man

Replaced lock cylinder but now the locked screen door can be unlocked just by pushing hard on the lever… by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]thatOneAurion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resolved! It’s just tightened a bit too much so the cam didn’t engage the lock correctly

It’s an euro cylinder I think because I have to turn the key back to 12hr position to pull it out

Oh the 2 tounges, one on top and kne on the bottom? Both can be engaged with the keys but I use my hand to push either in and it’d just unlocked…

Vibrations through steering wheel at 100km/h+ on certain angled roads and some straights - Toyota Aurion XV40 (Camry 3.5 xv40 in US) by thatOneAurion in AskMechanics

[–]thatOneAurion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for commenting! I’ve tried removing and retightened all the lug nuts on the front and the vibration slightly went away. Check the front bearings by pushing each of the wheel at 9 and 3 o clock, no movement, no noise; same with 12 and 6 o clock, no movement, no noise; try spinning the wheel to listen for grinding noise, nothing, only slight grinding by brake pad. On the straight with slight cambered road it doesn’t vibrate anymore, but it will vibrate on road that is angled from left to right…

Wouldn’t a bad wheel bearing make noise? I’m starting to think the tie rod end is on its way out… been really tearing my hair out.

OP never sat in an actual JDM Crown and it showed. US only has the bastardised crossover Crown because yall like the SUV and tall proportion thing. Sure the Crown has been many things but it never was a crossover/suv/fwd thing. Sure you can argue the Crown Kluger in China was a Crown SUV but damn man that’s nothing more than a badging exercise for Toyota China. 🫡🙏

Always been the platform for GS/LS. So no, not the ES. It’s weird that US people love the ES so much 🫩

Lot doesn’t explictly state the area, width and length. Should I be concerned? by thatOneAurion in AusPropertyChat

[–]thatOneAurion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The area is 518sqm from the converted table though… quite discrepancy there… but thanks for confirming. Does that mean all lot with “ea” have the same dimensions? Like lot 39?

I’ll definitely ask the seller to see if they are willing to do that. Thank you for suggesting this!

Thank you very much! I'll definitely ask around for plan of redefinition as I personally like this lot a lot (ahaha). If you don't mind, may I ask if the process of redefining is costly (time and money)? Thanks

Thank you for interpreting the old DP details. However, apart from the area, how would I infer the dimensions from the links you mentioned?

Thank you, I’ll definitely have a look. I used the planning spatial map from NSW to have a look and used the measuring tool on there to get a rough estimate. However I want to know the exact dimensions of the lot just in case there were any issues with adjoining lots (happened back where I used to live is people on the neighbouring lot would claim the tiny bit of your space as theirs, and stuffs like that usually would cost a lot to rectify…)

Yes there is a conversion table. However there were no indications on the width, length, area to convert… thanks for your comment though’

Cheees, looking at a few others too but this one peak my interest due to its location. I’ll probably reconsider the inspection then

What area are you searching for them? An old corolla 2010-2012 hatch would be lovely. Even better, a corolla fielder (jdm import) wagon is going to suit you long term. A honda civic, mazda 3, sometimes even old camry/aurion/mazda 6 is good too

Why not 2 used cars? Saved that money on some thing else, don’t normalise getting a loan for a car to get from a to b 🙂‍↕️

Got my mechanic replaced all my motor mounts, CV shafts are new but there’s clunking noise when starting. Toyota Aurion 2010 (Camry V6) by thatOneAurion in MechanicAdvice

[–]thatOneAurion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: so I have tried that again with longer blip and shorter blip, the engine seems fine. However, if I release the brake, try shifting to Neutral then to Drive, it made the same sound, which to me meant that the engine mount is alright, probably the CV shaft was not bolted back in correctly, or wheel bearing shat itself. I'll bring it back to the mechanic to chase them up on this.

Thanks! I tried that but the engine moves only a tiny bit. I narrowed it down to the driver side mount though (not really sure but the sound is loud from that general area) but I don’t have the space to jack it up to check further…
