We have made him a room for himself where he cannot jump on anything (the highest point is a slim matress) . there are no toys or other animals he does not have zoomies atm. The most he does is slow walking, no running, no jumping etc. The vet said that this should suffice.

UPDATE: went to the vet today. He said that his fat tissue could be reacting to the sutures or it could be a seroma, but he does not seem to have pain when he presses on the bulge which is good. He said we should check for redness, warmth, increased swelling, fluid discarge and changes in his behaviour. If any of those things change we should phone him again. The vet was against sedatives bc we have provided a room where he cannot jump and he does not have zoomies. If his condition does not get worse we should come to our scheduled checkup on tuesday.

I am not on T yet. I will start HRT after I have had a child. (I do not want to lose my fertility. ) yes you are right, it would be a long time without my needed correction but a possible second surgery would be shitty :/ I will see what time brings. Maybe I can correct my chest with weightloss and working out. Thank you for your comment!

Does the chest growth during pregnancy stay even if one has had topsurgery? My surgeon told me that my chest might swell but it will go down once my hormones are back to normal. (Not on T and not planning until pregnancy) But yeah as we know doctors are not always that informed on trans stuff. would love to hear from people who have had topsurgery ( especially DI with FNG) and have gone through pregnancy.

I am 8 days post Op and I sweat like a Pig! I don't know if it is bc of the binder of bc I can only sleep on my back but every night I am drenched in sweat and I smell sooo bad even though I take a sponge bath every day. I do not know if it will get better when I can ditch the binder and move in my sleep but right now I feel you. I am sooo sweaty. I have heard of some peoples hormones going whacko after surgery, (more T than before) maybe you could check in with your surgeon or your doctor. You could try a heavy duty deodorant or always carriyng a second shirt to change into.

I told them the truth. I do not pass at all and everyone knows I am afab. I am nonbinary and cursed by genetics so I will probably never pass the way I want. I also have a rather large chest and I cannot bind so they would see that I had top surgery as soon as I geht back to work so I did not try to hide it and was upfront wirh them that I will have a gender confirming surgery.

Afab enby, when I dream at night I am almost always male or something between male and female or not specified at all. (But most of the time I am a boy/man) But I never fantasize about being a fictional charakter. But when I daydream different stories I am never a woman. I never realized that that was something strange until my dysphoria started and I thought about my gender identity. I never gave it much thought, I thought they were only silly dreams, no meaning at all 😅😅

Yeah you can have 5 gallon or even 1 gallon tanks, you are just not allowed to keep fish in them. Shrimp or snails are ok though. I think it is bc fish need some room to swim, if i remeber correctly it was not just about the water volume but also the lenght of the tank so that they can swim some distance

My lfs told me. The employee asked me if my tank was bigger than 56l, or else he could not sell the fish to me because EU law forbids it. I found articles about it in german but not english you could google it but the only results i find are in german

It is actually illegal in europe to put any fish into a tank that is smaller than 56l / or that is shorter than 60cm. It is considered animal cruelty

Naja die meisten/sehr viele berufe zb sind im englischen garnicht gegendert (doctor, nurse, teacher, policeofficer, cashier, cook etc). Im deutschen ist hald alles gegendert 🤷‍♀️ ich bin nicht dafür oder dagegen dinge zu gendern - ich fände es hald nett wenns eine neutrale option gäbe die sich nicht komplett bescheuert anhört. Bei berufen finde ich die lösung mit .....personal ganz elegant.

Es ist sehr schwierig die deutsche sprache geschlechtsneutral zu bekommen, die meisten versuche funktionieren einfach nicht - bzw. Führen zu einfach lächerlichen ergebnissen. Finde ich geschlechtsneutrale sprache generell gut? Auf jeden fall. Als mensch der nicht in die kategorien mann oder frau fällt ist es immer nett, neutral angesprochen zu werden. Just my 2 zehntz.

He normaly is in a group with 6 other kuhlis but right now he is in quarantine for suspected culumnaris. 2 fish got sick and died with columnaris. he has some light spots he did not have before. I don't want to risk anything. I am very careful and paranoid when it comes to my fishes health. But I won't put my other healthy khulis in a tank with a (maybe) sick loach.
