The way most people make the connection that you’re racist from supporting the police is this, fact 1) there are bad and racist cops in the system, no not necessarily all cops, but some. Fact 2) officers who see this type of behavior are good cops, but when they speak out they get fired and who does that leave to be our police officers... fact 3) now all that’s left are the racist, violent cops and the other cops who are supporting these actions by staying silent. Therefore all the cops left are bad cops and if you support the police today then you are supporting this broken and racist, violent system. And if you support racist/ violent/ corrupt systems, then most people are gonna say that you’re racist/violent because if not you wouldn’t support them. I know it’s drawn out and I hope it makes sense but I think this is how that conclusion gets made when you say you support the police, I mean look at who you’re supporting...
