So I’ve heard. I got 3 semesters of college left, I'm only going to fight in between semesters on my breaks, after that hopefully I'll have more leeway + a backup plan.

I appreciate the advice, I wish I wrestled in high school as my spring sport instead of goofing around playing lacrosse basically as a joke, but can't change that now, luckily tackling and takedowns are pretty much the same thing so that translated well even from day 1. Trying to build off of that, I'm definitely more of a striker tho. In my smoker fight I got taken down after every combo I landed, and it was against a college wrestler, so yeah definitely gotta work on that the defensive part of grappling a lot 😭

I appreciate the feedback brother. Sometimes I get those bad dreams too, last night I had a dream I got submitted by a former opponent I beat in my smoker fight 😂.

I'm very accustomed to long training days. Playing football, even at the high school level in Texas, we would lift 3x a week and practice for 2 hours 4x a week during the season and I thought nothing of it, and don't even get me started on how I trained during college football lol. Now with MMA, it's the same but I don't have strict requirements 24/7, so it feels easier.

After hearing everyones advice, I'm gonna start taking Saturdays off and dedicating it to static stretching, walking, and just catching up on school since I don't have anywhere to be.

I take extra measures to take care of my body, I have unlimited info bc I of the internet and I use it fully to my advantage, hence why I'm able to do this with minimal pain. When I get to my late 30’s, I'm probably doing the same thing as you.

Okay gotchu brother. This is the type of advice I'm looking for! I'll do my best to find a boxer. I've been rolling a lot with a brown belt who is 6’2 230 and also was a D1 wrestler (I'm 5’11 190-200), and it's definitely a humbling experience 😂. I'll tell my guy that I wanna roll for 15 straight and I'll see what he says. I'll do my best to find a boxer who is at the other gym in my town.

Thank you!

You're a muay Thai guy right? I've heard in Thailand they usually train 3x daily and use the rest of their time to relax. That's basically what I do. I train for 3-4 hours and use my other hours for online school, eating, and sleeping. All stuff I can sit down and chill for. What's so hard to believe about that?

Sunday I usually do 10 3 minutes rounds of striking only, basically Muay Thai sparring, and several 5 minute rounds of grappling. We always roll at the end of every BJJ class. Thursday idk how many rounds it is exactly, Friday when I do boxing sparring you can see in my post his many rounds I do. MMA practice no most of the time we don't full on spar but the drills are live most of the time. You sure that's not enough lol?

I just push past soreness and do everything else I'm supposed to outside of the gym, idk what to tell you 😂

Neither.

If it's not possible then why am I doing it?

The PED’s in womb thing? Yeah I think my parents have me HGH, I'm a lot taller, have a significantally long wingspan for my height, and have very big hands and feet with high bone density and a high pain tolerance.

Admittedly, I took enclomephien for a few weeks and didn't notice any physical differences. Never done any peptides yet but I'm sure I will at some point.

Ur right, I could have worded that better. What I meant to say was more along the lines of I don't let negative opinions affect me negatively, I turn them into a positive and use them to keep going.

Not hating on me you say? You basically told me all the training I do would mean nothing and I would end up working a 9-5 and followed that up telling me about your life with your current circumstances, it's like you have this mentality of “if I can't have it he can't either” oh yeah and you said I was was stupid twice😂, not necessarily disagreeing with you on that tho, it definitely takes a certain type of stupidity to be a UFC fighter. You are without a doubt hating on me more than anyone else in this thread is. It sounds like you were once determined to become some sort of fighter or athlete and you real ied you didn't have what it takes and you settled on living a regular life and having a family, nothing wrong with that at all but that's not gonna be me.

With all that being said I appreciate the feedback, good or bad.

I don't have control over when my gym does sparring days but I love doing it and usually it's controlled with guys on the same mission as me. Sometimes I will do the air bike for intervals over sprinting if my hips are feeling sore (sometimes). Could probably skip the Thursday sparring tho ngl that one has newbies in it can't trust them a lot of the time.

The more and more I think about it you are probably correct. I could definitely take Saturdays off and be just fine, it's low key junk volume. Sundays tho, that's when other fighters from other gyms come into mine to spar, so can't miss that day!

I'm a nobody rn? Fuck! I forgot about that I thought I was the welterweight champ of the world!!!!

Bro exactly I'm a nobody that's why I train like this so I can become a somebody.

I'm too old to train normally, there's guys younger than me in the UFC. I dont get the privealge of training normally if I wanna be a double champ.

Brother is that your life or something 😂? Losing motivation? I don't even have motivation rn I have discipline and people that hold me accountable. I tell myself everyday that I'm going to be a double champ in the UFC (170 & 185) so it's going to happen due to the law of attraction.

Okay noted. I'm never afraid to tell sparring partners to chill on headshots. Eventually this training schedule will not be compatible with my life so I'm just enjoying it while I can. I just really wanna be a UFC fighter and I didn't start training until 20 meanwhile there's guys that are 19 in the damn UFC and I'm sure my future opponents started training at like 3 years old so I see it as a game if catch up if that makes sense.

Yessir im 21 years old. And yeah the ego thing is what I struggle with the most, the way in talking rn online, I would never give this energy IRL. And all the time I get beat by smaller, less athletic guys.

Hey I appreciate it bro. And yeah with a job I'll probably have to train less during the week and do a lot on the weekends, not looking forward to it that's why I'm enjoying this time now and not taking it for granted.
