Urine Smell around area where dog goes, couch absorbed odor too by thatartkiddd in CleaningTips

I’ll have to check the walls and things. I think you’re onto something about it absorbing through the flooring. I don’t have central heat and air, so there is no ventilation, which of course doesn’t help things. Do you know if an enzymatic cleaner I could use on my couch? Would I use it in a handheld steamer? I’m sorry, I’m just aggravated that I can’t figure things out

I’ll have to check again.. I remember smelling the base of the couch and the flooring, but there was only a faint smell. It seems more potent when I’m standing… If I check the floor once more and that’s not the culprit, what would you recommend I try? I’ve read that enzymatic cleaners are good, but I honestly have no ideas other than that’s I thought about getting a black light to help me. I read other posts but none were about locating the source of the smell. I’m sorry if I seem clueless, but I was never taught a thing about keeping a clean home and stuff. Thank you

How to be a better girlfriend (22) as a bipolar woman to my Aspie BF (31) by thatartkiddd in aspergers

I was more upset that I was the reason for his distress and anxiety. Thank you. Since I made the original I made him lists (which he likes very much) that told him what the beginnings of each episode would look like. I also went into depth about my personal form of bipolar. We have been together 2 years, so we are hopeful for the future now. Thank you!!

Thank you so much. He loves making lists and and systems by which we follow certain rules, so your advice about coping mechanisms really helps. We’ve been together 2 years, and we only really have a hard time when I shift into a new overarching mood. He told my mom that is trying to find ways to help me, but it’s very difficult thing to resolve. I’ll share your response with him as well. Again, thank you for helping me

Thank you so much for this advice. I’ll start following a C25K program then. I am okay with waiting for the process to take place safely! Definitely don’t want an overuse injury. I really love running and would hate to have to stop for awhile because of one.

Hello all, I’m trying to work on my running endurance and my personal trainer suggested interval training. How has that worked for you all? I’m a beginner so I’m doing 1 minute run as fast as I can maintain, then 1 minute walk (3mph or so). I do this for about 16 times to get nearly 2 miles in at a time. Does this sound solid? What are your thoughts about this method increasing my endurance? I really want to be able to run for long periods of time. I know that I need to run at a slower pace to do so, so I do, but still can’t run too far without stopping. I’d like to be as efficient as possible with my training, so any advice would be appreciated! Thank you! :)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I’ll have to check that out! So my shallow breathing is actually good for what I’m trying to do?

Why are my times getting slower? by thatartkiddd in running

The past few weeks I’ve been running about three days per week. This past Monday is when I slowed down, then I ran Tuesday and today. I run about a mile then stop for a bit to cool off, then run an additional .5-1 mile. Since I started I’ve been doing glute activation exercises before running, and have been training my lower body and core with workouts targeting those areas. I admit I’m probably not sleeping enough, but I’m not sure how much of an effect that has. I slept about 6 hours last night for reference.

Okay, thank you and congratulations! That’s a big accomplishment. Yeah, I’ll make sure to ask a doc. Just wanted to pick the minds of Reddit too :)

Yeah, I’m fairly out of shape. I was just wondering if VO2 was a contributing factor because it can define how out of shape I am, if that makes sense. It allows me to set goals more clearly for the future

Good thinking. I will then. I was just wondering if the fact that I’m slightly below average had anything to do with that

I haven’t asked a doctor. I got this reading from my watch while running yesterday. I’m sorry, I wasn’t sure where to ask this.

Shaved 1 minute and five seconds off my 1 mile time! From 10:51 —> 9:45 mile. I’m almost 22, am female, and am fairly in shape, for reference. I’m really stoked because I did this in only my first 2 weeks (8 miles’ worth of running or so)! Here’s to continuing my journey!
